Dive Wise
Getting better underwater footage shouldn’t mean spending the entire dive staring through a screen and missing the thing you actually came underwater to see!
That’s one of the big ideas behind the underwater videography course.
It covers camera setup, positioning, buoyancy, actually capturing useful footage and turning those clips into a story afterward.
The full course is included with the paid Dive Wise Hub, or you can purchase it separately if that’s all you want!

Dive Wise
A quick heads up if you’ve been thinking about joining the paid Dive Wise Hub!
The introductory rate is still $8/month through October, but it’ll be increasing to $12 in November.
That gets you the full underwater videography course, early access to new videos, member-only content and more of what I’m building behind Dive Wise.
If you were already considering joining, this is basically my slightly less annoying version of saying: now would be a good time!

After the fatal shark attack at Sorrento Beach in Western Australia, authorities issued a catch-and-kill order for the great white believed responsible. Was targeting the shark necessary for public safety, or should a protected wild predator not be killed for behaving naturally?

A little look at what’s coming up for Dive Wise:
In a couple of weeks, I’ll be heading to Canada for an advanced wreck penetration course, including dives on the Annapolis. Wreck diving is an area I’ve wanted to push deeper into for a while, so I’m genuinely excited to take on something more challenging.
Then later, I’m heading to Chuuk Lagoon for about 12 days of wreck diving, one of those places that has been sitting near the top of my dive list for years.
There’s something pretty incredible about getting to explore these wrecks while they’re still here, and I’m looking forward to bringing back a lot of stories from both trips.
Anything you’d especially like me to cover while I’m in Chuuk?

Dive Wise
Dive Wise is growing beyond a single YouTube channel, so I’ve created a Patreon to become the central hub for everything we build next. You can join for free to get my scuba industry news newsletter, channel updates, Discord community access, behind-the-scenes progress, and a closer look at upcoming videos and projects.
Paid members (optional) also receive early access to videos, exclusive podcast episodes, extended thoughts and behind-the-scenes posts, community discussions, occasional bloopers, and a special supporter role on Discord. Every paid membership directly helps fund better videos, new projects, and the long-term growth and direction of Dive Wise.

Dive Wise
Celebrating a small but meaningful milestone: Dive Wise has passed 10,000 subscribers.
I know 10k is just one number on a much longer journey, but for me it feels like a real personal victory. This channel would not have gotten here without everyone who has watched, commented, shared, subscribed, asked questions, and supported the work along the way.
Scuba diving has an incredible community, and I’m grateful to be building a small corner of it through Dive Wise.
To celebrate, I’d also love to invite you to join the Dive Wise Discord. It’s a new community for divers and future divers who want to learn, ask questions, share experiences, talk gear, discuss dive travel, and grow together.
If you’ve been following the channel, now is a great time to come be part of the conversation.
Hope to see you there:
