I’m more interested in the ‘why’ of photography than in the ‘how’.
There are loads of channels out there enthusiastically giving you gear reviews and top ten lists, but that's not this channel.
There will be practical tips along the way, but the meat of what I want to share with you won't be tech heavy.
Besides, I believe that a photographer who really sees, but has a cheap camera; will produce better images than a photographer with the best gear, but no vision... every time.
I’m not a daily vlogger, I’m not even a weekly one. The most I can manage at the moment is about once a month. But that also means that I’m not going to fill this channel with repeats of other info online, or attempt to stretch a little bit of content a long way.
I want every video to feel fresh and rich.
Hopefully that makes them worth the wait.

I’ve got some difficult news about my PARABLE magazine that I wanted to share with you. From September 15th next week, I’ll no longer be able to ship physical copies of PARABLE outside the UK.
Over the last few years, the cost of international fulfilment has increased dramatically — from import duties following Brexit, to rising fulfilment and postage costs, and the tariffs from the US. Unfortunately, it’s reached the point where shipping individual physical copies internationally simply isn’t sustainable anymore.
So, if you’ve been thinking about ordering a physical copy of PARABLE, September 15th next week is your last chance to do so internationally.
The good news is that PARABLE isn’t going anywhere. Digital editions, including the PDF and MP3 audio editions, will continue to be available worldwide, and I will still be shipping physical copies locally within the UK.
I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported PARABLE over the years, wherever in the world you are. It genuinely means a lot to me.

PARABLE Vol.7: "Walking Alone" is OUT NOW!
This is the seventh in a series of publications featuring photography and writing around a theme. In this edition, I share a body of street photography alongside the story of how the genre rescued me from falling out of love with photography altogether. I reflect on how I found my photographic voice at the time by focusing on single figures, moving through the liminal spaces where light and shadow meet.
