I didn't think we'd get yet another generational fumble from PlayStation so soon, but them losing Kojima's MGS successor to Xbox because their stupid asses wanted to cancel it reaches a level of bewilderment that surpasses the destruction and closure of Bluepoint in my mind.
PlayStation's current leadership, tastemakers, bean counters, and management are a cancer. We need a full reset. Fire all of these clowns. Bring in actual smart people who have good taste. Hermen Hulst's humiliation fetish continues and it's getting worse.

The fact that there's a new Kingdom Hearts IV trailer out in the ether and Square hasn't uploaded it is driving me insane.

It's almost impressive how brazenly and stupidly PlayStation has burned through all of the political capital they acquired since the PS3 turnaround days.
This company is such a fucking joke.

The two confirmed worlds we have for KH4 so far are Quadratum and Scala ad Caelum (with the playable King Mickey section). Which world do you think will be officially confirmed next?

So far, the rumors and leaks indicate that Xbox will shut down Compulsion Games and Arkane Studios.
I hate to be that guy, but Xbox shutting down Compulsion (especially after the dud that was South of Midnight) does not surprise me at all. Compulsion has great ideas, but executes them in such boring ways. With their shoddy quality control and stupidly long development times, they have no business being in this industry.
The possible Arkane shutdown is more surprising but not a shock, considering the mixed reporting around how the development of Blade has been going and the unfortunate fact that they have not made a financially successful game since the original Dishonored back in 2012. The sad part is that Blade is a good fit for them, but something is clearly going wrong behind the scenes on that one.
After that astonishing financial/business breakdown that Asha Sharma PUBLICLY put out last week and the recent reports that nearly every Xbox-published game has underperformed financially, in Game Pass metrics, or both, I'd be VERY worried if I worked at any Xbox-owned team that isn't Playground Games or an external team that currently has a second-party deal with them, like Kojima Productions.

If yet another studio gets shuttered or let go by Xbox next month, which one do you think will go this time? My money is on Double Fine. While Compulsion might be a safe bet because South of Midnight was a total dud financially, Double Fine has had two back-to-back massive flops with Keeper and Kiln, and they do not fit with the new regime's idea of cost-cutting, big ROI, and the "return to exclusives" (LOL). I'm curious to know what you all think.

Hello, everyone! Unfortunately, due to a prior commitment, I will not be able to stream tomorrow morning's Nintendo Direct. However, once I am home, I will watch the VOD with (hopefully) fresh eyes and record a reaction to it that will be uploaded later tomorrow.
