He Asked Me for Advice… Then Ignored Every Single Word 😂
A 65-year-old retired businessman from England reached out to me.
He said, “Helga, I watch your videos about red flags. Can you help me figure out if this Filipina is sincere?”
So I asked about her.
He said, “She’s 18, beautiful, a model, and apparently she’s never had a boyfriend.”
I said, “You’re 65. Why are you chasing an 18-year-old?”
His answer?
“I’m trying my luck.”
Then he told me he had millions in the bank and wanted to know how to protect himself.
So I gave him the most basic advice:
Do not show off your money. Do not send money early. Let her like you for who you are.
One week later, he came back.
“Helga, I sent her ₱50,000 for her birthday.”
Excuse me? 😂
He said, “That’s nothing to me.”
Two months later, he flew to the Philippines, met her family, spent around ₱100,000 in one week, and tried to impress everyone.
Then the family started asking for more.
A house.
A car.
Monthly allowance.
And eventually, ₱1 million if he really wanted to marry their daughter.
I asked him again, “Why are you still entertaining this?”
Because according to him, she was “too good to be true.”
Exactly.
Then he broke up with her.
Then he went back.
Then he broke up again.
Then he went back again.
Why?
Because every time common sense entered the room, lust kicked it back out. 😂
By the end of all this, he estimated he had spent around ₱3 million.
And after finally leaving her?
Guess what?
He started talking to another very young woman.
Life lesson:
Some men do not need more advice.
They need to stop letting lust negotiate with common sense.
If something feels too good to be true, especially when money is involved, it usually deserves more caution—not more cash.
And gentlemen, if you keep asking for advice but only follow the advice that agrees with what you already want to do, then you are not really asking for guidance.
You are asking for permission.

Project Helga and the team distributed rice and noodles to 27 families of flood victims.
People often complain about how hard their lives are, but what is the true meaning of life being hard? Do you need more material stuff? Or perhaps you do not get validation from people through likes and views? If you want to know what the true meaning of life is, then visit a third-world country and see where the people's genuine hardships in life actually exist. Then ask yourself, is your life still hard?
Seeing families living in poverty made me cry because of the conditions of their houses. Despite the few items we distributed, people were still thrilled and appreciative of what they received.
