Just saw this in my mail. Thank you all for subscribing and interacting, this way my "noise" gets louder. I'll do my best to keep making good, constructive noise, even though I see little change in what's being promoted around. At times it feels like going nowhere but I still do it. Anyway, thank you! 🙏🏻
I'm pretty excited I found some older video clips I had archived online, including one of of an Alf Kornersee grandson!! So so glad I did not delete them. Looking forward to share them with you.
I'll be busy for the coming days but will try and stay around here, too.
So... I managed to squeeze this between my today's tasks.
But here's a funny (sort of) thing:
I actually had more in my script for the video and to make sure I don't offend anyone with what I had to say, I asked Claude AI to check on my script and, it actually completely took out some bits.
I'll just say the basics of what was taken out: several popular CZ dogs of the 90s actually had major problems, but were nevertheless sold into the United States and Australia. Annnd I'll just stop there.
Anyway, in this video I am focusing on GOOD CZ dogs. I totally, freakin' love Franco!! Not my choice for anatomy, but I love his spirit.
I couldn't get till I make the actual video so I quickly made a short of this CZ dog. POWERFUL animal, CZ lines - meaning DDR a few gens back, no West topping, footage is from mid 2000s. I will make a video on him and I hope in another week to make a video on one of his offspring.
Why did they not just keep the type / lines - that I will never understand!
This is Athos, a CZ dog, Grim z PS son that John LaTorre has told me of, as being one TOUGH dog, along with Dago. I did my best to dig up more images or even footage and in doing so, I came across other stuff which I can't wait to share with you, as soon as I finish work.
I will remind us all of what a "true" CZ GSD once was and also, as an individual dog and as a producer. But for now, please note how Athos and Dago are not the "pretty" looking type we see nowadays, coming from the CZ breeders. The west working lines influence has visibly stamped things, "forever".
Bodo's brother, Bero. He was the "male version" of his mother. Looked a lot like Briska, and I mean a lot. While he was the crazy pup in the litter (climbing out of enclosures etc), Bodo was the more civil dog, later with time. Just to point out one interesting detail - I came to learn that the civil type is actually more "reserved" in the first few weeks of life, showing very good prey drive from about 2 months onward. Both Ben and Bodo were like that and they came to be both very calm in discipline work but awesome dogs ini bite work and very civil. To be honest all the way, none of my DDR dogs were as intense as Ben, likely because of the old vs new generation of GSD. Anyway, Bero was a very handsome dog! And I never had a pup as thick as him, during first few months of life. I mean, we had Ionutz, but that pup was so soft in temperament, I am counting him out when talking dogs.

Romanian man refuses EUR 97K for his Rottweiler. How cool is that! I mean, it made it to the national News.
