Today’s Master Board Monday is up!
This week I created a bright floral master board filled with loose, simple flowers and then cut it down into a whole collection of colorful ATCs.
While I worked, I also talked about something a little more personal: how the way we look on the outside doesn’t always show what we may be dealing with on the inside.
Sometimes the struggles people cannot see are the hardest ones to explain.

A little personal update 💚
I’ve decided to start sharing more regularly on my Christine Rooks channel. Darlyssa Designs will still be my home for art tutorials, Master Board Monday and my creative projects—but my personal channel will be a more relaxed place where I can simply turn on the camera and talk.
I’ll be sharing everyday life, behind-the-scenes moments, creativity, honest conversations and future Spirit of the Leaf videos about the herbs and teas I enjoy using.
My newest video is a casual tour of my newly organized art room, where I show the different spaces I’ve created for painting, filming, journaling and all the other things I love to do.

I’m a bit behind this week because I’m dog sitting my dog who lives with my daughter until he gets out of the puppy stage and he is a huge handful. I did not intend on missing videos this past week but this little guy who’s not so little requires constant supervision. I’ll be back soon. He goes home tomorrow morning.

I am so happy with the way these altered pages turned out. Here's the really cool part I realized later. These pages can be turned into so many different styes of pages just by changing the digital edit! I would do something grungy and neutral for vintage or steampunk pages. They can be changed to colors to match the season. I mean, the possibilities really are endless! The phrase "a little goes a long way" is playing in a loop in the back of my mind. I'm sure you will see a lot more of this in the backgrounds of my journals and artwork. I consider this project a great and super fun success!!
