Unfortunately after receiving some unpleasant news, a decision has been made to close down Jurassic Genesis in its entirety.

It's become apparent that the game has inevitably became what it originally set out to avoid being - an environment that perpetuates drama and toxic behaviour that reached as far as the Development Oversight. Given that mine and others' lives have gotten busier since this game's inception, the most sensible option is to let the project finally rest.

Ultimately, Jurassic Genesis was a success. I had never intended or hoped it would get as large and active as it did. I believe that our best days are behind us however, and I'm incredibly proud of what we all managed to achieve. I'm so sorry for both the sudden news and that we couldn't deliver our upcoming recode, but I hope that we can look back fondly on the game's evolution over its lifespan.

For anyone not in our Discord Server, here's a look at the new Rexy model made by the talented ARGoN!

Rexy/Roberta has been a VERY long time in the making. Concept work for her started all the way back in October of last year, and the model itself has had more than a month of work behind it. There is a ton of attention to detail that really helps her to stand out compared to previous models. I think her model came out absolutely AMAZING, and it's personally one of my favorite models for JG currently.

This isn't a remodel of the Tyrannosaurus, but rather a separate skin that will be obtainable via methods I don't want to reveal justttt yet. I’ll also be holding off on giving a release date as I don't want to make any false promises.

Jurassic Genesis

A much-requested addition to Jurassic Genesis will finally be coming in the revamp! Carcharodontosaurus is an apex carnivore which is planned to make its debut later on in 2026. While we're still deciding its means of obtainment (gamepass, badge, etc.), we can tell you that Carcha will be extremely fun to play with and a great addition to the planned roster.

Primarily waiting in vegetation for prey and hunting by ambush, Carcharodontosaurus are also great pursuit predators, moving at fairly high speeds for their large size. Their ability to deal large amounts of bleed also allows them to slowly wear down larger prey like sauropods, making them even more efficient hunters when in groups.

While not as large or stocky as apexes like Spinosaurus or Tyrannosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus still pack quite the punch, and are not to be underestimated by any means.

I've also attached a preview of its broadcast call, though as always, SFX are subject to change.
