A little about me, I have several YouTube channels, all with one thing in common: I love telling stories about the hobbies I enjoy.
On this channel, I previously spent 12 years shooting weddings and sharing my journey with the gear I used to film them. Now I document my passion for building out cameras, rigs, and filmmaking gear as a solo filmmaker. I also enjoy visiting trade shows and talking to the companies that make our careers and hobbies in video creation possible.

Quick update:
After retiring from weddings, this season has been about redefining what filming means to me. I appreciate you being here while I build it.
I originally had another nature film scheduled for this Monday, but I’ve decided to move all of my wildlife and nature work to a dedicated channel called @StoryDrivenNature
Over the past six weeks I experimented with three nature films here about my year long journey filming the Great Blue Heron. Some of you really enjoyed them, but it has become clear that this channel resonates most when I focus on creating stories with filmmaking tools at the center.
I’m currently preparing to film WPPI in Las Vegas, and that coverage, along with several shoots I have planned while I’m there, will be the next releases here.
So going forward:

Nature and wildlife films. I already have multiple films completed, and the first 4 releases will drop on April 1st.

Happy New Year!
Two days ago, I released the first chapter of Chasing Heron, my new six-part hiking and nature series.
This marks a permanent and exciting shift for my channel. I’ve officially retired from wedding filmmaking and discovered a real passion for filming the outdoors. The backdrop has changed, but the obsession with storytelling, and how gear helps me tell those stories, has not.
How this channel works going forward:
Each hiking and nature series begins with story-first films that document my experience trying to tell a specific story in the field.
The final episode of every series is a dedicated breakdown of the gear and techniques used to make the film.
