As a TEDxRVA Speaker, Southern Fried Poetry Slam Champion, and Verses and Flow Poet, Gibsun advocates for authenticity and fearless creativity.

Went from watching Black Ice on Def Poetry Jam, to meeting him in The W Hotel before we shared our poems on Verses and Flow. We cyphered in front of Dennys on Sunset Blvd and grabbed food. After eating, we walked past college students taking up 3 booths to do homework and he stopped to ask why they were doing calculus where people eat… then started cooking them! Unforgettable! From being teenager inspired by his work saying “I can do that!” to sharing the stage and finding out we were both born on February 5th! Rest In Poetry to ‪@thelegendaryblackice‬
