A Heartfelt Thank You—We’re Finally Home—But Still Rebuilding ❤️

First, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our GoFundMe, prayed for us, checked on us, or supported us in any way. Your kindness has helped carry us through one of the most difficult seasons of our lives, and we will never forget it.

We started this GoFundMe after the devastating fire and attack turned our lives upside down. We lost so much—our furniture, clothing, personal belongings, filming equipment, and many of the things we had spent years working to build. The cost of everything we lost is far greater than the amount we are asking for through this fundraiser. gofund.me/39d9f5d6d

It has now been more than six months, and we are incredibly grateful to finally have a new apartment. However, we have not yet reached our fundraising goal. Most of the money raised was needed for emergency travel back to the United States, temporary housing, transportation, and the many expenses that came with trying to survive and rebuild during those difficult months.

Even in the midst of our troubles, tears, and heartbreak, we have continued filming and sharing recipes because we truly love what we do—and we deeply love and appreciate the community we have built. Creating for you has given us purpose, comfort, and moments of joy during an incredibly difficult time.

We still need essential items for our new home, and we also need to repay some of the funds we had to use to secure the apartment and get settled. We are rebuilding little by little, but there is still a long way to go.

This may be my last time sharing our GoFundMe because asking for help has never been easy for me. I never want anyone to feel pressured or believe that I am bothering them—especially when I know that so many people are facing struggles of their own. But I am praying that somehow our fundraiser will reach its goal and help us complete this long journey of rebuilding our lives.

A Humble Update—and One More Ask ❤️

First, Jimmy and I want to sincerely thank everyone who donated, shared our GoFundMe, prayed for us, or sent words of encouragement. Because of your kindness, we were able to return home, make it through our temporary stay in the United States, and begin rebuilding our lives. We are deeply grateful.

Our original goal was $12,000, and together you helped us raise approximately $6,500. That may sound like a lot—and it absolutely was a blessing—but the emergency flights, temporary housing, living expenses in the U.S. over the 6 months, transportation, and moving costs used those funds very quickly.

Although our September 1 fundraising push has ended, we are still short of what we need to fully cover our move in apartment and remaining move-in expenses. I hesitated to ask again because I never want anyone to feel pressured, but I also know that sometimes we have to be honest when we still need help.

If you feel led and are able to contribute it would mean so much to us. If donating isn’t possible, sharing the GoFundMe can help just as much by allowing it to reach someone new.
