These trees are listening... technically 😅
One of our RWN team members was out in the forest recording a storm and had a bit of a struggle setting up her mics due to how large the trees were. She ended up giving this tree a HUGE hug in order to get the bungee cord around the trunk. She’s a big tree-hugger!

A member of our team brought out her big telescope to get these amazing images of the moon. She took these shots in Arizona, one of the best places in the world for astrophotography due to its clear skies, dry climate, high elevations, and local laws restricting light pollution. The beauty of these photos is proof of that!

Sometimes, getting the perfect shot requires placing our equipment in a few dicey locations, like knee-deep in a river at the base of a waterfall. We may risk damaging our camera, but the outcome is always worth it! We also got to kick back and enjoy a little relaxation as we let our hiking shoes dry, which is always a plus.

A trip out in the forest to record this stream turned into a messy trek back after stepping through some rotten logs and getting caked in mud, yet we still managed to have a beautiful recording session!

Relaxing White Noise

A lot of thought and preparation goes into recording our nature sounds. For instance, different surfaces create different sounds in the rain, so we always have fun trying out a variety of materials and textures.
Recently, we hung a few mics under these roof panels while out recording a thunderstorm. The roofing helps create a unique sound texture as the rain falls through the canopy, and it also doubles as the perfect cover to keep the equipment dry!
