I'm curious to know what kind of video style you guys often like to see when it comes to the involvement of the creator themselves within a video; whether it's with my content, or your YouTube viewing experience in general.

Do you prefer to hear just a voiceover? Do you like a PNG image/OC/art of the creator pop up on screen as their representation? Or do you like to see the actual face of the creator appear on screen?

I've experimented with all of these to some extent. I often have opted for the PNG emotes of me, but also have done recordings as well as pulling from livestream clips of myself on screen.

Recently, I've been struggling with deciding on the editing style that I want to create with my videos moving forward. Ever since going through a slight "rebranding" shift, I've had resistance about whether I really feel like myself. I think I often feel like my content does well when I don't have my IRL self on screen (especially in shorts, even removing voiceovers completely). Before utilizing this new wall panel/explorers study aesthetic I'm going for, I often use the DAW patterns as my background, or sometimes just use face cam with no green screen,

I do lots of research on content creation and livestreaming pretty often, usually keeping up with trends, statistics, shifts in algorithms, changes to platforms and whatnot. Authenticity is one of the most important aspects, especially in this crazy age of AI, and sometimes I debate if only having PNG images/emotes of me on screen isn't "authentic" enough. Yet the shorts (and often the videos) that perform the best do not include any IRL face cam shots.

And with AI becoming more utilized, I do get the occasional comment of my content being AI or fake, ESPECIALLY in short form content with no voiceover, no IRL face, no explanations (yet, again, the 10 second jingle only shorts are the ones that do the best).

The best option may just be a blend of all three, but I'm just really curious to hear what you guys often prefer when watching a YouTube video!

Hey everyone! I know I've been fairly quiet and MIA this month, and wanted to give you a little catch up on what I've been up to!

August is a pretty important month for me. For starters, my birthday was on the 1st, so celebratory shenanigans happened. August is also the month where I quit my job in 2024 to pursue content creation / livestreaming / music producer as a full time gig. To think I've been at this for 2 years now is pretty insane! August of 2020 was also when I first became an affiliate on Twitch, which is a nice milestone I often like to celebrate with a special livestream.

This August has felt the busiest though, not as much celebrating as it has been more so working and figuring stuff out.

The first half of this month I really worked on the channel rebrand, overlays for my streams, and coming up with a plan of what I want to do with my content journey moving forward. I have a big video I've been working on to kick off the rebrand, and it's almost done!

My band ‪@ElementalityBand‬ is also working on a new EP of video game covers. We have a separate YouTube channel to showcase all the band related things, so go subscribe to that channel if you'd like to see more of that! We do have a cover releasing this week that I think will become an iconic staple within our VGM journey.

Moving forward, I am also now uploading my YouTube videos to Spotify! Just looking to see where I can expand my horizons, so if you're a Spotify user, you'll be able to find both my music AND my videos on there!

So, there's just been a ton of planning, recording, editing, mixing, traveling, plans and more going on that it's been difficult to consistently livestream or upload new videos that aren't just the individual Elitebound: Johto tracks.

Legendbound: Johto is still happening/in the works, but just needed to put that aside to figure out the rest of my shit, and it's all almost come together.

I appreciate everyone who continues to watch my videos and listen to my music! At the very least, I should be coming back in full swing by September!

My band, Elementality, now has its own YouTube Channel!

We are a North New Jersey based band that covers video game music in a Jungle Rock / Jungle Jazz style!

We don't just cover ANY VGM though... we aim to play mostly elemental themes! From levels and environments themed in Water, Nature and Earth, to Boss fights of Fire and Ice, to character themes who have heavy elemental abilities, and more!

Most of us are featured within this short, with the exception of our new drummer, Ashley, who only recently joined us. Don't worry, you'll get introduced to them very soon as well!

I felt it made more sense to have a separate channel for my band endeavors, as this channel focuses more on projects involving the Letters to Notes Methodology.

With various individual tracks, a new EP on the way, and a 9 member band itching to play some shows, we hope you look forward to seeing more from us!
