Hello everyone! Mario Party Advance (MPA) has a new Standard Ladder Minigame Champion for the first time in 19 years!! Last month I became the overall champion, which was nice, but Akdrizzt was still winning on the standard ladder.
So of course, I grinded out Dreadmill and Sea Monkey?... I saved a few frames on Dreadmill, but I managed to be the first person to ever tie the WR in Sea Monkey? on video! That gave me an additional 10 cyberscore points (csp) which put me above Akdrizzt in the standard ladder!! It also gave me another Platinum trophy, which helped me surpass Konradh in the medal table!!! Now I am all-time 3rd place on the minigame medal table, only behind Akdrizzt and Zimer.
When it comes to who the "Big 3" of MPA minigames are, it depends on how you look. Going by Medal's, the big 3 are Zimer, Akdrizzt, and me (Flyingtomatoad/Flyingtomato98). Yet when you look at the standard ladder, or the overall ladder, the big 3 are Me/Flyingtomatoad, then Akdrizzt, then Lithemith.
This is important because Lithemith has the totalizer timed minigame WR in MPA. So really I think of it as the big 4: Flyingtomato, Zimer, Akdrizzt, and Lithemith.
For this reason I felt it best to rebrand from Flyingtomato98 to Flyingtomatoad. Also, over time, being a "90s kid" will become less and less relatable, but everyone will always love frogs!!! So, enjoy the new profile picture and cover photo from yours truly!!! This is a new era of gaming and content!!!!

AFTER 19 LONG YEARS, MARIO PARTY ADVANCE FINALLY HAS A NEW OVERALL MINIGAME CHAMPION ON CYBERSCORE!!!!!!
I thought I accomplished this in 2019 on Video Game Records website. For years I thought I was the sole champion, then in 2023 I learned about Cyberscore, and the legend that is Akdrizzt. I found out there were titans of Mario Party Advance, plenty of games already maxed out decades ago by the OGs, yet no footage of any runs to be found. I figured even if I don't get 1st place, it's still nice to get footage of my records. Then I climbed from 6th to 5th to 4th to 3rd and then 2nd got removed last year, as you all know, thrusting me into 2nd place out of nowhere!
Now I finally had a chance to be 1st place for real, and I got my own max out in Boo-Bye a few days ago, and I started chipping away at the cyberscore points needed to be the champion overall! Akdrizzt hasn't been on cyberscore since 2008, so he must have moved on with his life. I am ecstatic to have kept the torch burning and can't wait to see what legends of skill come after me!!!
To pull this off, I got 5 PB's in 5 consecutive days. I have been optimizing my runs for 7 years now, so getting any PB at all has felt like scaling a mountain lately. So, I feel like I'm on cloud 9. I know other people may have more medals than me in the minigames, and I know Akdrizzt still beats me in 16/30 minigames, but being the overall champion is about consistency and you can see my track record. I've been grinding just about every minigame for years to get to this point. Consistency is key. Thank you for following me on this Journey!!!!!!
First I became the champion of Duel Dash, now I'm the Champion for all Mario Party Advance minigames. Maybe I should go touch some grass? We'll see...

A lot has happened in the past year. I want to thank you all for sticking by me so long. I remember climbing the leaderboards for so long. I questioned the validity of the scores of one German user, they seemed preposterous without proof. I specifically asked them for proof and they left me on read, oh well, I’m not a moderator and don’t have the time to be one anyways, I simply accepted it.
Imagine my surprise when I logged in to find his name no longer on the leaderboard. The number 2 I was trying to surpass, instantly gone. I would have liked to win the fair way, but if the scores weren’t real, then I already did.
Now the top 2 spots are both USA 🇺🇸 🦅🧸 I’m honored to say the least, hard work has brought me here and I chip away little by little. I did eventually get gaming gloves, but the size medium was too tight and I don’t like leather, so I ordered some new gaming gloves they should arrive in the next couple weeks. I realize the glove doesn’t need to cover my whole hand so I’m ordering the kind that only covers the index and thumb. That way my other fingers can breathe and circulate.
Also thank you Google AI for the shoutout about my duel dash records 🤣!!!
The third picture is my hand after wearing gloves that were too small. The leather didn’t help much, you can still see the indent of the button in my thumb.

Officially top 3 of all time when it comes to mini-games in Mario Party Advance!!!
The second pic was my thumb after my latest PR in Outta My Way. I definitely need to get some gaming gloves haha.
Being 3rd best of all time has been my goal for a while, I remember back when I was shooting for 6th and then 5th and then 4th. Getting to 3rd has been a journey for sure, it’s taken me about a year.
Call me the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of MPA!
(Or the Peyton Manning of MPA if you prefer NFL to NBA haha)
