Take your dissatisfaction seriously.
When I first moved to the UK permanently in December 2017, I genuinely thought I had just entered my happily ever after. After a gruesome battle to get my settlement visa approved, I was finally going to live with my mum. Something my inner child had wanted for as long as I could remember. My mum had been living in the UK since I was one year old, which meant I only got to see her during school holidays. So you can imagine what it felt like to FINALLY have my visa approved, knowing that I could live in the UK for as long as I wanted to. It was a dream come true!
What I didn't anticipate was how quickly that dream would become a nightmare.
If you've ever moved abroad, you'll know that there's a particular kind of shock that comes with arriving in a new country. For the first time in my life, my skin colour became something I had to think about. Despite having a settlement visa and being academically eligible, I couldn't go straight to uni because I had to wait three years to qualify for home student fees. International students pay double what home students pay, so I had to put uni on hold for THREE YEARS.
Instead, I went to college, got jobs and did what I thought I was supposed to do to get by.
I remember hearing a conversation about how black immigrants often ended up following the same path. Nursing, care work, social work, or other jobs that people seemed to enter because they had limited options. So you mean to tell me that I had left Kenya, crossed continents and fought to get here, only to find myself in a situation where I was being told, implicitly and explicitly, that my fate was decided because of the colour of my skin? Are you kidding me???
I was only 18, trying to figure out who I was, trying to understand a completely different culture, trying to navigate a new identity, working jobs that I hated, studying with people who were two years younger than me and barely seeing my mum because she was working all the time. I was incredibly lonely, unhappy and deeply, deeply dissatisfied with the cards I had been dealt.
My routine was simple: wake up, go to college, go to work in the afternoon, come back home, cry, sleep, repeat.
I had unconsciously accepted the idea that this was simply how things worked for people like me.
Until I started dating someone whose family had a different financial reality from mine. We had both moved from Kenya to the UK around the same time and were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. The first time I went to his house to meet his parents, I was dumbfounded. They lived in a beautiful, newly renovated maisonette in London. Actually, it was more of an estate if I'm being honest. Naturally, as my then boyfriend, he told me quite a bit about his family's wealth. At the time, they were renting the property before eventually buying it years later. And do you know how much they were paying in rent?
Ten thousand Great British pounds. A MONTH.
I swear my ears started ringing when he told me that. I couldn't believe it!
This wasn't some extraordinary royal family I'd been reading about in the papers. These were black immigrants from Kenya, just like me! And their son was head over heels for ME! They welcomed me into their home and treated me as their equal.
I remember thinking, what kind of life is this? Who's paying £10,000 a month just to live somewhere? And more importantly, what kind of income do you need to have to make that a normal monthly expense? I had never conceptualised that kind of wealth before, especially within the same group of people I had been led to believe had such a predetermined, limited fate.
For the first time I had tangible evidence that the reality I had unconsciously accepted wasn't the only reality available to me.
And instead of trying to convince myself to be happy with what I had, I decided to take my dissatisfaction with the life I was living seriously.
In 2020, I made the executive decision to pursue the life that I wanted for myself. If other people who look like me can live the life of my dreams, why not me? And that decision changed the trajectory of my life.
The truth is, you can never change your reality until you take your dissatisfaction seriously.
Dissatisfaction is a message from your soul telling you "Hey! There's more!" You need to take that voice seriously.
We're so conditioned to view suffering as honourable that most people fail to acknowledge just how deeply dissatisfied they are with their lives. Taking your dissatisfaction seriously is an act of self-love and self-prioritisation. It's admitting to yourself that you deserve more and that you're unwilling to tolerate something simply because "it's not that bad".
A lot of people, especially women, stay in bad relationships because they've convinced themselves that what they're experiencing is normal, only to dig themselves deeper into a hole they eventually struggle to escape from because they didn't leave sooner. Some people change careers the moment they realise they don't enjoy their work anymore. Others wait until they're so burnt out and resentful that they can barely bring themselves to get out of bed.
YOU DON'T NEED TO REACH YOUR BREAKING POINT BEFORE YOU GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO WANT BETTER!
You've been experiencing the same dissatisfaction for another year, and then another year, and then another year...when will you love yourself enough to acknowledge you want better and actually go for it? You've gotten so good at tolerating your dissatisfaction that you've managed to convince yourself you don't deserve better.
Bringing this to manifestation, there's a difference between refusing to be defined by your circumstances and refusing to acknowledge that you're unhappy with those circumstances. The former is an act of consciousness and the latter is simply avoidance.
You cannot transform something you're unwilling to acknowledge.
So, take your dissatisfaction seriously and do something to get yourself out of that loop.
And if you're ready for that level of transformation, apply to work with me one-to-one: chelseawambui.com/start

14 Days of Delusion.
What would happen if you spent the next 14 days being completely delusional about the things you want?
Last week, a client-turned-close friend told me she was committing to 14 days of delusion in preparation for launching her own AI app. Naturally, I jumped on the idea, and we decided to do it together. Technically, we started yesterday, so today is day two. You're right on time to join us.
Here's the premise: pick ONE thing you want and dedicate the next 14 days to it.
Every day, meditate on having what you want. Treat your doubts as irrelevant distractions. Stop treating your current circumstances as the final word on what's possible. And most importantly, take one audacious action towards your desire.
That's it.
The goal isn't necessarily to ignore reality. It's to stop treating it as the boundary of what can exist.
The word manifest comes from the Latin word manifestus, which means to make something so obvious and plain that it is as good as being held in your hand. Key word: OBVIOUS.
Manifestation is, in many ways, a game of focus. And 14 days of deliberately directing your attention, challenging your habitual thinking and taking action from a different perspective will change how you see yourself and what's possible for you.
Your mind does not change simply because you want it to. You have to give it something different to practise, repeatedly, until that new way of thinking and being starts to feel more natural than the old one. What I refer to as, embodiment ✨.
Here's how to participate:
1. Choose ONE thing.
Decide on one thing you want to focus on for the next 14 days. Something you can begin moving towards now.
2. Meditate on it every morning
Imagine a random Tuesday, a month or two AFTER you've already received what you wanted. The novelty and excitement have already worn off. It's now a normal part of your life. You're looking back on the experience, reminiscing with a loved one who's congratulating you on it. You're calm, no desperate grasping, no begging the universe.
And you hear yourself saying, "Of course it happened".
3. Take one audacious action.
Get up from your meditation and take one audacious action that would feel completely normal to that version of you.
4. Document your progress.
At the end of the day, journal or record a 20-second video for yourself about what you did, what came up, and how you responded. This part is crucial because your brain needs proof to believe the transformation. Every time you follow through on what you said you'd do, you cast a vote for your new identity. You're building evidence that you can trust yourself to act differently, even when reality hasn't caught up yet.
And when doubt inevitably appears, first of all, celebrate! That is the first proof that your frequency has changed and the old identity is throwing a fit. This is your opportunity to practise responding differently instead of believing the emotion. Notice the doubt, refuse to give it authority to dictate what's possible, and return your attention to what you're creating.
You can follow along privately in your journal or do the challenge with a friend. You can also email me or DM me on instagram to share what you're focusing on and how it's going.
I'm so nosy, I'd love to hear what you're getting up to. 🤭
14 Days of Delusion. Let's go!!!
Until next time, keep bending reality.
Chelsea💛
P.S. I'm thinking of opening a monthly group coaching membership: weekly live sessions with me each month where you bring your questions and we work through them together, the way I do in my one-to-one sessions, but in a room full of people who are also bending reality. You'd get to watch other people's breakthroughs up close(which is often where your own comes from), be part of a community that will keep you accountable, and learn from the coaching that I reserve for my 6-7 figure clients. If you'd want a seat, reply to this email with "GROUP" and I'll make sure you're the first to hear the details, including the format, schedule, and the pre sale price, before anything opens up.

You’re too serious to enter your dream reality.
Seriousness is a disease of the ego.
We are eight billion people running around on a floating rock, worrying about bills and worst-case scenarios.
Don't get so caught up in avoiding pain that you forget to soften your heart and LIVE.
Go out and play!
Play some music and dance in your bedroom. Dancing is food for the soul, it heals depression. Buy some painting supplies and paint something silly. Do something that you loved doing as a child. Go to the swings and let your inner child giggle and be free. Go for ice skating, fall down a few times, and laugh at yourself. Take a flower-arranging class and experience the abundance of beauty. Play dress-up with all your favourite outfits. Find a hill in your city and go watch the sunset. Buy a puzzle on Amazon and complete it with some friends. Get some supplies and make your own slime.
Give yourself permission to do things simply because they're fun. How else will you enjoy your desires if you don't train your enjoyment muscle. Soften your heart enough to hear the voice of God within.
So shuuuu shuuu now, go out and play!

You Create God in Your Own Image.
All gods are man-made. Yes, even the one with a capital "G" in the Bible.
One of the sneakiest mistakes people make when they've deconstructed religion is assuming they've freed themselves from its influence. You might stop calling it "God" and start calling it the "universe", "source", or "higher self". But have you actually shifted the underlying beliefs of that power?
Think about it, people spend years knowing what to do and still not do it because intellectual understanding and embodiment are two different things. Every unconscious or subconscious belief you've held for years has been reinforced by experiences, evidence, and emotions. So if years of conditioning aren't undone simply because you intellectually understand where they came from, why would you assume that deconstructing religion automatically heals your relationship with God?
Many people have a spiritual awakening after years of following Abrahamic religions that taught them to believe in a God who was stingy, judgmental and punished his children through eternal hellfire. When you spend 20, 30, or 50 years believing that God requires you to be perfect in order to bless you, you unconsciously perceive the universe in exactly the same way, regardless of whether you're not religious anymore.
The truth is, your concept of God is shaped by your state of consciousness.
Consider how the portrayal of God in the Old Testament reflects conflicts, fears, and political realities of the societies in which those texts emerged. A God who was vengeful and unforgiving who fights for his "chosen people" and punishes their enemies becomes a powerful way of making sense of conflict and justifying one's own side. When christians read the Old Testament, they often imagine themselves as the Israelites, God's chosen people. But what about the Egyptian families whose lives were devastated by the plagues because of their king's actions? What about the innocent people who suffered and died in these so-called heroic acts of God?
In the same way, when you feel powerless, you imagine a God who has all the power. When you lack money, you imagine a God who has all the resources. When you've been wronged, you imagine a God who will punish your enemies and restore justice.
You create a God who embodies everything you feel you lack, and then you put those qualities on a pedestal and "worship" that God.
Nuuuuhhhh that was a bar, read that again!
If you're going to become a master of reality creation, shifting your God concept is just as important as shifting your self-concept or identity. Because what's the point of spending years working on your identity only to be humbled by some higher power because you ate meat and didn't say namaste, love & light to your idiotic neighbour who keeps putting his rubbish in your bin?
You might have left the church, but you're still waiting for the universe to validate you, reward you, or test you before giving you what you want. You're still trying to purify yourself by chasing perfectionism.
You changed the language but haven't changed the underlying relationship.
So let me offer you a different understanding of God.
God is an impartial, infinite intelligence that is ultimately ineffable. It is not a glorified human being with a penis who judges, feels, punishes, rewards or withholds. It doesn't distinguish between the rich and the poor. It doesn't see you as good or bad based on your mistakes or heroic acts. It doesn't reward good people or punish the wrong doers. Even the unconditional love associated with this infinite intelligence is not the emotional kind that humans experience. It transcends morality and doesn't care whether you cut down a tree, eat meat, or charge $50,000 for a handbag.
So the next time you ask yourself "What does God want me to do?" remember that God wants nothing from you. The very life force you worship as something separate from yourself flows through you too.
How can you worship God when you refuse to worship yourself?

REMEMBER.
I was having a chat with my best friend a couple of days ago, and we were talking about how crazy it is that after a long season of losses, we tend to forget how powerful we are and start perceiving our losses as the only possible reality. That conversation prompted me to remind myself of some basic fundamentals of conscious reality creation that we often forget when life gets in the way.
So here are five basic principles to remember and live by if you want to control your reality:
1) Your current reality is a reflection of the past.
Reality is always playing catch-up. Your current circumstances are a reflection of your past state of consciousness, which is why you might not see immediate results when start maintaining a new frequency. Think about it, Christ consciousness was able to instantly materialise desires in the form of what we call "miracles" because there never existed a version of him that doubted his oneness with God. There was no delay between the internal shift and the external materialisation. Most of us, however, spent years identifying with a different version of ourselves before discovering spiritual knowledge and experiencing an awakening. Naturally, our external reality may take time to reflect that shift. So tranquilo. Focus on maintaining the frequency of your desired reality and stop allowing your current circumstances to convince you otherwise. Reality will catch up soon enough, as long as you don't keep questioning yourself.
2) Your thoughts and feelings DO NOT express reality, they express your beliefs/assumptions.
New age spirituality and the popularisation of The Law of Attraction have perpetuated the idea that our thoughts and feelings control reality. As a result, most people start believing that they have to monitor their minds, stop themselves from having "negative" thoughts, and avoid feeling certain emotions in order to be in the frequency of their desired reality. The problem with this is that it creates constant anxiety. Insread of focusing on the reality you want to experience, you become preoccupied with trying to control every thought and feeling that comes up. It's EXHAUSTING!
I want you to pause here and predict your next thought...
You see? You can't do it with absolute certainty. That's because you are not your mind. You are the awareness that is noticing your thoughts. A thought appearing in your mind doesn't automatically make it true, nor does an emotion you experience mean that it will reflect your external reality. What matters is the meaning you assign to these thoughts and feelings, the assumptions you continue to identify with, and the beliefs you give your attention to.
3) Conviction is the most important thing in manifestation.
One of my clients was recounting her entire career journey to me, and she told me about how quickly her first "big-girl" job came to her after she applied for a position she wasn't even qualified for. To this day, I notice that things tend to weirdly work out for her because she moves with a level of conviction that I can only describe as delusional self-belief. But most importantly, I have realised that delusion without audacity is just madness. Her self-belief is always accompanied by audacious action. She doesn't just believe she's capable of extraordinary things; she moves as though those things are owed to her, even when there's little external evidence to support that belief. Which leads me to conclude that conviction is a combination of delusional self belief and the audacious action of a white man. That is the recipe for "miracles".
4) The physical realm is the realm of effect not cause.
Before a painter creates their best work, they first receive an inspiration from the spiritual realm. They then use their mind to focus on the idea and, through the sacred act of follow through, bring it to life in this physical realm. By the time anything becomes physical, it has already passed through different stages in the unseen realm, which ultimately results in its physical expression. Reality works in the same way. Most people try to fix their problems by attempting to fix the very circumstances they're struggling with. That's insanity. The state of consciousness that created the problem cannot be the same state of consciousness that reveals the solution. Think about it, would you go back to your ex for guidance on your next relationship? The same ex that caused you the worst heartbreak of your life cannot be the same person you rely on to heal your heart and teach you how to love again. You cannot fix your problem by fixing your problem. You must shift the state of consciousness from which you're approaching it, raise your vibration, and the solution that was previously invisible to you will become obvious.
5) Your focus/attention becomes God in action.
There's a Hermetic principle that states that "everything, when reduced to its simplest form is pure energy, light or vibration." From this perspective, mind and matter are not separate. Most people tend to think of matter as solid and tangible, while the mind consists of invisible thoughts and ideas. However, whatever is conceived in the mind, when focused on, will eventually take form and become physical. For this reason, whatever you place your attention on, becomes the way "God" shows up for you. Where attention goes energy flows. In fact, if you analyse the Map of Consciousness by David R. Hawkins, you'll notice that each state of consciousness is associated with a different perception of "God". If you focus on what you're ashamed of, you inevitably begin to perceive "God" as condemning or despising you. But if you focus on what you love, you start to experience "God" as loving and benevolent. Your state of consciousness directly influences the way you perceive "God", yourself, and the reality you're experiencing.
If you're a high-achieving woman entrepreneur making 6-7 figures, but have reached a ceiling that you can't seem to think your way out of, you have two options:
You can spend another year analysing the problem, trying to figure out what you're doing wrong, and attempting to think your way into the next level.
Or you can stop trying to solve an identity-level problem with more information and let me help you uncover the unconscious patterns keeping you at this level and shift the identity that's been determining how far you can go.

Be still and know that YOU are God.
Why is it so easy for you to believe in your limitations rather than your potential?
You call it being "realistic", being "smart", being "cautious". You're quick to point out all the things that haven't worked out before, therefore convincing yourself to be more cautious. Your mind easily constructs an entire case for why something wouldn't work. But when you attempt to consider your potential, all of a sudden it gets referred to as "fantasy", "too good to be true", "frivolous".
Your limitations always get the benefit of the doubt. Meanwhile your potential has to prove itself again and again, regardless of your previous achievements.
I'm not even blaming you for this because even I, with all the metaphysical knowledge that I have, still struggle with this to date. I've literally had clients breakdown into tears during our sessions, confessing to me how deeply I have transformed their lives. How positively I have impacted their businesses, their families, their sense of self worth, and their lives in general. And yet, I still have moments where I question if my work has meaning.
It's as if, at every new level, my mind completely forgets all the positive evidence that I've accumulated in the past and manages to convince me that I'm not worthy of the new level.
Unfortunately, this negative bias is a normal part of the human experience. The problem however, is when we believe those thoughts and mistake them for truths.
The truth is, fear is really just inverted faith. It's faith in negative expectation, but its faith nonetheless. Fear and love are the same vibration expressed differently. Think about it, when you're afraid of something, you don't need to see it happen before you start experiencing its effects. You can lose sleep over a conversation that hasn't happened, or convince yourself that a business idea won't work before you've given it a fair chance. And the problem is that those thoughts and emotions feel so f*cking real that it feels almost silly to ignore them!
The problem with fear is that it slowly eats at your conviction and self-trust until you begin to anticipate and prepare for the worst-case scenario. You start making decisions from the assumption that things won't work out, withdrawing before you've been rejected, playing small before you've been told no, abandoning your desires before they've had a chance to materialise.
And because the external reality is a refection of your consciousness, these negative expectations become self-fulfilling prophecies. You unconsciously start to pull to you the very experiences you've been trying so hard to avoid. And when the worst-case scenario inevitably happens, you say to yourself "Look, I was right!"
But were you actually right? Or did you mistake a possibility for an inevitability and prematurely began to organise your life around that assumption?
This is the power of faith, but in this case, inverted faith. You treat one possibility as though it's the only possibility, and then direct all your focus and energy into it, and then wonder why it's so difficult to trust anything beyond what you already know.
Both the best-case scenario and the worst-case scenario are equal possibilities in the quantum field. Your observation (focus/attention) is what ultimately dictates which possibility hardens into matter.
Your mind will always do what it does best: create thoughts. It will draw from your memories, past experiences, your fears, and everything you've been conditioned to believe about yourself and the world. And like a mischievous child, it will create a compelling argument in favour of your fears. Don't fight it.
Remember your true identity and remain unmoved by those thoughts and feelings.
Be still and know that YOU are God.

You have a secret kink.🤫
Raise your hand if you were the "good" kid. The "easy" one. The one no one had to worry about.
🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️
Let me guess. You've gotten so good at being responsible that people stopped checking whether you were okay. You got so good at handling things yourself that nobody thought to offer a hand. Your parents even expect you to help your siblings without question. Your friends knew you'd understand. Your colleagues knew you'd pick up the slack. Your partner, the so called love of your life, knew you'd complain about him not helping you, but you would figure it out in the end. You're so good at being responsible that your competence has become everyone's convenience. Nobody asks who's helping you because, well...YOU'VE GOT IT.
Now, before you roll your eyes at me and say "Agggrrr let me guess, I need to set boundaries and stop being so understanding... I already know that Chelsea."
I am aware that this is not groundbreaking information. I am aware that this is not the first time you've heard this description of you. You already know this about yourself. In fact, you already know the psychology behind it. Your therapist already told you that it came from your childhood trauma. That self love book already described you to a T. Someone's youtube video even gave you a step-by-step guideline on how to start prioritising yourself. Right? You don't need another self-help "guru" to tell you to set boundaries or to ask for help. YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT!
And yet here you are again. Making yet another silent wish and watching the worst person in the room get exactly what you wanted. You worked for it. You qualified for it. You healed for it. You went to therapy for it. You deconstructed religion for it. You took courses for it. You clapped for your friends before your turn for it. And yet, no one seems to get the memo that you are worthy of it.
See, I know something about you...you have a secret kink 🤫 and you're ashamed of admitting it.
You've seen all the time that "good things happen to bad people". You know that there's no reward for suffering. You even know that heaven and hell are states of mind and therefore, there's no eternal punishment for the "wrong doers". You are empowered enough to stop insisting on being so self sacrificial. And yet, you do it anyway. Why?
You're gonna giggle at how filthy this is. Well...because you like it. Actually, YOU LOVEEEEE IT!
You claim that it's unfair for you to always figure it out alone. That it's unfair for all the responsibilities to fall on you. That it hurts when people don't prioritise you as much as you do them. And yet every single opportunity that arrises for you to do different, you never step up to the task. You always fall back into your "good" "easy" "self sacrificing" "responsible" ways. Why? BECAUSE IT FEELS GOOD GODDEMMIT!!! And that's the part that you don't admit to anyone, not even yourself.
Being called responsible, easy, mature, clever, good...feels incredible. Actually, I'm downplaying it. It's outrightly addictive. Especially when you're being praised for these qualities in comparison to someone who falls short of them. You're not just responsible, you're THE responsible one. You're not just mature, you're THE mature one. And suddenly, it's no longer just a behaviour, it's an IDENTITY. A role. A place in the hierarchy. The validation doesn't stop at home. It follows you into school, uni, the workplace, religious spaces, business, romantic relationships, friendships. It's everywhere! It's an identity that solidified through endless external validation.
And that's exactly why you can't just tell yourself to stop. Because you'd be asking yourself to give up something that has been rewarding you for decades. There's a payoff to being the woman who always has it together. It makes you FEEL valuable, safe, needed, morally superior...sometimes, like you're THE only adult in the room. So yes, you're exhausted, hurt, angry, even resentful that nobody takes care of you the way you take care of everyone else. But there's an underlying truth that you're not admitting to yourself. And that truth is that it feels good! There's literally no difference between you and a drug addict. At least a drug addict admits that snorting coke feels good! You on the other hand, are guilt tripping everyone into treating you better, without admitting that being self sacrificing secretly feeds your self importance.
So of course someone else got the opportunity. Of course someone else got the money. Of course someone else got the relationship. How else would your "the responsible one" identity be maintained if it wasn't for the self fulfilling prophesy of bad things happening to good people?
Reality is a perfect mirror of your consciousness. Whether you are aware of it or not.
If you are a high achieving woman who has already created success for yourself, but you've hit a ceiling you can't seem to think your way out of, you have two options:
You can spend another year analysing the problem, trying to figure out what you're doing wrong, and attempting to think your way into the next level.
Or you can stop trying to solve an identity-level problem with more information and let me help you move through it faster.

A letter from your old self.
Dear new me,
Remember to forget me. Remember why you left me. Don't let me get inside your head. You left me for a reason. You survived me for a reason. My pain should never hold you back from spreading your wings. Seeing you thrive, seeing you fly, is the only way to vindicate me. I want to see you win. I want to see you nurture all the dreams that I was too scared to reach for.
I see you trying. I see you fighting. I see you moving. The fear and the doubt are not real. They are the remaining echoes of my pain. They don't belong in your future, so leave them with me. I will carry them for you. Go free to be everything you wanted to be. That's the only way to vindicate me.
I may occasionally scream at you and beg you to stop. Try to convince you that you can't handle what you're reaching for. Try to convince you that you're too small for the life you dream of. Don't let me get inside your head. I didn't have your strength to defend me when I was a victim, so I believed what they told me. But here you are, showing me that I have never needed anything outside of myself to be everything I wanted to be. So please, vindicate me by following your wildest dreams. Vindicate me by choosing to live not just survive.
I am in awe of your bravery. I am in awe of how resilient you've proven yourself to be. Don't let me get inside your head. Wear a black outfit and celebrate my life, and then blow out the candle and leave me buried. You deserve the life that I didn't have the capacity to reach for. You have to let go of me; otherwise my pain will fog your path. Let yourself grieve me if that's what you need. And remember to forget me.
The path that you're going into, I cannot follow. I wouldn't know where to start. I wouldn't know how to remain still and trust. You have to let me go for now. Let me rest. I am ready to rest in peace. So let me go. And remember to vindicate me by flying higher than I ever thought possible. Don't make my suffering meaningless by repeating it. Let this letter breathe life into your lungs. You are safe to soar.
And so I take my last breath. You've got it from here. 💛
Until we meet again.
With love,
The old you💛

Fools live longer 🤡.
I have a theory: Smart people have the worst frequencies. Let me explain.
Growing up, I was the smartest kid on the block. I was often praised for my intellect and academic prowess. In primary school, I always came back home with the top grades and often ranked top three in the whole school not just my class. I remember constantly being compared to my cousins and often referred to as the example of "responsibility and correctness". The adults around me looked at me and saw a smart girl, and eventually, I learned to see myself the same way. I was the teacher's pet and was the class prefect from age nine, and somehow that followed me all the way through high school. Being intelligent wasn't just something I did, it became a core part of my identity. And the best part about being smart, is that everyone praises you for it and it feels goooood!
The problem however, was that underneath that intellect, was a girl who just wanted to be a girl. I loved pretty things, still do. And trust me when I say that I don't mean that lightly. A perfect day for little Chelsea was; dressing up Bratz dolls on Nintendo Wii, playing dress-up with my mum's clothes and learning how to walk in 4-inch heels at age nine, simply because I wanted to convince my mum to buy me more heels. I used to swear to myself that once I got older, I'd dress up everyday...I did in fact keep that promise😌. "Maddie really knew who she was from a young age 💁🏽♀️."
The smart girl was responsible. She got good grades, made the adults proud, was praised and rewarded for her intellect. She was correct. She was the only answer.
"But the other girl? The one who wanted to play with lipsticks and wear a mini skirt and heels to church? The one who liked pretty things simply because they were pretty? The one who wanted to play, create and experience things simply because they felt good? Nuuh that chick was hella irresponsible. How frivolous of her to want these things with no logical justification? Why couldn't she just focus on doing something more productive?"
The smart Chelsea had all the "right" answers. The playful little Chelsea didn't. She just liked what she liked, but, unfortunately, no one approved. So she hid.
You see, smart people have the worst frequencies because they always abandon themselves in an effort to maintain the identity that they've been rewarded for. You spend your whole life being rewarded for your intellect and soon enough you start to confuse intelligence for wisdom. You literally think yourself out of success simply because you can't currently explain how it would happen.
The truth is, your intellect is extraordinarily good at taking what you already know and making sense of it. It can analyse patterns, identify risks, predict outcomes and therefore look at your current circumstances and tell you what is realistic based on the evidence available to you. And that's incredibly useful if what you want is what you already have.
Your intellect is only a very very verrrryyyy tiny, minuscule fraction of the infinite intelligence. Your intelligence doesn't encompass the wholeness of God. It does not have access to every piece of information that exists. It doesn't know everything that has ever happened, everything that is happening right now, or everything that could possibly happen. So why would you treat the conclusions of your intellect as though they are the final verdict on reality.
Think about it like this, science can only explain what human beings have been able to observe, test, measure and reproduce with the tools and knowledge available to us at a given point in time. There was a time where certain diseases were essentially death sentences. HIV, for example, was associated with an extremely poor prognosis. I remember being in Kenya in the early 2000s, we were literally reciting poems at age 6 about how HIV kills and we should abstain from sex 😂. At 6 years old??? And yet today, HIV can be managed with medication and many people with HIV go on to live long healthy lives.
The reality didn't suddenly become possible. The possibility was always there, our understanding just finally caught up to the possibility. And this happens over and over and over again. Human beings discover something and then we look back and wonder how we ever lived without knowing it. AI is a perfect demonstration of this. The Gen Alphas will never know what it feels like to write a 2000-word essay by hand let alone on a computer 😭.
So riddle me this, my sweet sweet baby girl, if it made perfect sense based on everything you currently know, how would it be a new reality????? How could you possibly use the mind that was formed by your current circumstances to explain a future that exists beyond those circumstances? Explain, (30 marks).
Smart people treat their intellect as authority and that automatically limits their reality. When your identity is built around being smart, then being unable to explain something doesn't just feel like not knowing, it feels like being foolish. Like you're tampering with your essence. And there's nothing worse to a smart person than appearing foolish.
To bend reality, you must suspend your need to make sense of situations. I call this "going back to IN-NO-SENSE." Innocence. Christ consciousness referred to it as turning and going back to being like children and only then will you enter the kingdom of heaven. Because only after you seek first the kingdom of heaven, will all her righteousness be added unto you.
The fool lives a longer happier life because they're not too concerned about looking foolish, they have no reputation to protect. The fool can try. The fool can fail. The fool can change their mind. The fool can ask stupid questions. The fool can start again. The fool can look ridiculous for six months while everyone else watches. In the end, a winner is just a fool who kept trying.
If being a smart person is stopping you from living the life you love, then you might as well just become foolish. Mathew 5:30 "If the right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell."
If you are a high achieving woman who has already created a lot of success for yourself, but you've hit a ceiling you can't seem to think your way out of, you have two options:
You can spend another year analysing the problem, trying to figure out what you're doing wrong, and attempting to think your way into your next level.
Or you can stop trying to solve an identity-level problem with more information and let me help you move through it faster.

The mind of a high achiever.
I'm not sure what to write about today. I'm sat at my desk trying to figure out what would be worthy of writing. So I'm typing whatever flows into my consciousness. Good luck following my neural pathways, I guess.
Melancholy. An emotion I have become increasingly familiar with. It's always lurking in the shadows. A constant reminder of my incompleteness. Every achievement is reduced to "but I'm still not where I want to be." I hit 60,000 subscribers a week ago and I did't even stop to celebrate myself. Why? Because there are bigger goals and dreams yet to be accomplished. So once again, I postpone feeling complete.
Melancholy is a deep sadness that lingers without a specific reason. Life is good. Could be better, but I can't complain. However, it almost feels like there's a constant whisper beneath my bones that never fails to remind me that not matter what I do, I'll never be enough.
Last year, I celebrated my mum's birthday by making her day extra special. I booked us into a five-star hotel and spa, took her shopping and ended the weekend with a five-course tasting menu that was beyond delightful. She was elated. And yet, the melancholy still made a grand entrance. I had "earned" my joy that day, and yet, I still didn't let myself feel it. On the first night of the staycation, I lay awake contemplating my next move. "Oh so what? You paid £800 for a room. It's not like it's one of the Aman hotels" "What other goals need to be achieved?"
I can't remember a point in my life where I was completely free of melancholy. I've learned to exist with her.
This is deeply personal and I'm probably exposing myself too much by writing this. I don't know if I'll actually publish this letter lest I get accused of depression. I'm not sure there's any point to writing this either because I don't have a solution. However, maybe writing about it will help me process the emotion cleanly?
And no, this is not a cry for help. Neither is it an invitation for solutions. This is me accepting my human experience as it comes. My emotions don't define me and that is why feeling them doesn't threaten me.
Today is one of those days; the melancholy is shouting at me rather than whispering. This is the mind of a high achiever in a nutshell. We set these big goals for ourselves, work our asses off to achieve them, then completely downplay them once they're achieved. It's a never ending cycle of seeking validation through achievement. Really, we're chasing the feeling of completeness.
This is why I have a deep compassion for high achievers. I am able to deeply articulate their pain in a way that they often can't articulate themselves. Truth is, I understand them deeply because I understand myself. And when they talk to me, they feel deeply seen because I see them. I see myself in them.
There's something incredibly beautiful about that for me, too. Helping high achieving women navigate the wounds I've spent so much of my own life navigating allows me to see and heal parts of myself along the way. I'm not standing outside the experience, telling them what to do because I read a few books. I'm walking alongside them, because in many ways, I know the terrain intimately.
I apologise for not offering you any resolution on this letter. Perhaps reading this will briefly snap you out of your own endless pursuit of completeness.
Remember, your feelings do not express reality. Melancholy or not, you are enough. 💛
