Rangers' 3-0 Old Firm win on Sunday felt like an evolution from their performance in the 2-2 draw under Danny Rohl this March.
Despite changing managers between the two matches six months apart, there were similarities that felt important.
The win needs backing up on Sunday to substantiate real progress.
But there were signs here not only of a new spine to the team, but of a similar identity despite change in the dugout.
Martin to Rohl was the latest example of a big stylistic pivot mid-season, meaning squad building needs to catch up with a new manager's ideas. Are we seeing signs that Rangers have learned that lesson?

At full-time yesterday, Rangers players rushed to celebrate with James Penrice.
He hadn't scored two goals like man of the match Dan Neil, but his role was just as important - and it encapsulated Derek McInnes' bold tactical plan.
Pressing into midfield to enable his side to lock on man for man, Penrice was also a left-back in possession, with all three goals originating from his passes or crosses from the left.
On a day when Rangers needed to seize the initiative and go for the jugular, their left-back's unique tactical role was pivotal.
