Creekside Revival

Creekside Revival is made by a pastor serving at a small Baptist church in Appalachia. Here you’ll find scripture set to song, Bible stories told in paper and ink, and stories from church history worth remembering.

Like a lot of small-church pastors, I work more than one job to take care of my family and keep serving in ministry. This channel is part of that. Every view, subscription, and membership helps, and I’m grateful for each one.

Pull up a chair by the creek. Glad you’re here.

Creekside Revival

There's just something about an old gospel song, isn't there?

Maybe it reminds you of Sunday mornings growing up. Maybe you remember hearing your mama or daddy singing around the house. Maybe it's a hymn that carried you through a difficult season.

Some songs just stay with us.

What's one old gospel song you'll never get tired of hearing?

I'd love to hear yours in the comments! ❤️

1,000 of you.

We crossed 1,000 subscribers this week. When this channel started back in the summer, I didn’t know if anybody wanted old hymns and Scripture set to Appalachian folk gospel. Turns out a lot of you did. Thank you for every listen, every share, and every comment.

I also want to give a special thank you to our first two channel members, ‪@Shiloh8548‬ and ‪@dennisliming366‬ . You two said yes and signed up as members when this channel was still small. Your support goes to my family and the ministry behind this channel, and it helps keep new songs coming. You’ll keep seeing your names at the start of every video.

If these songs have been a blessing to you and you’d like to help keep them coming, tap the Join button on the channel page. No pressure at all. Sharing a song with a friend helps too.

You asked for more victory songs, and they’re on the way. What old hymn should we bring back next? Tell me in the comments.

“O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.” Psalm 96:1

A little hint at what's coming next👀 I'm pretty excited about this one

"When my days are done and my race is run,
And I stand before God's only Son,
I'll sing His praise where the saints have gone,
Still leaning on the arms that have held me on."

58 to go.

Creekside Revival is sitting at 942 subscribers. When we reach 1,000, the channel can be monetized, and that opens a door I’ve been praying about.

These songs have only lived here on YouTube. Getting them onto Spotify, Apple Music, and the other streaming platforms costs money, and once the channel brings in even a small, steady amount, that’s exactly where it’s going. YouTube will pay for the streaming. Then you’ll be able to carry “Come Down to the Water” and the scripture songs with you on the drive to work, out in the shop, or wherever you listen.

If these songs have meant something to you, here’s how you can help:

🎵 Subscribe if you haven’t yet
🎵 Share a song with a friend, your Sunday school class, or your church family
🎵 Become a channel member by tapping the Join button. Memberships are open now, and they directly support my family and the ministry I serve in. Every one of them is a real blessing.

Thank you to every one of you who has listened, commented, and sung along. We’re almost there.

A quick word about who’s behind this channel. I’m a pastor at a small church, and like many pastors in small towns, I work more than one job to provide for my family. Creekside Revival is one of those side jobs, and it’s one I love. I get to write songs from scripture, tell Bible stories, and dig into church history. While the music produced is AI generated the lyrics are not. If this channel has blessed you, a subscription or a share goes a long way. Thanks for being here.

Don't Forget This

The grave is empty.

The tomb is still empty.

Jesus is still alive.

And because He lives, **hope is still alive.**

That's good news on a Monday morning. 🙌

“Because He lives, ________.”

Finish the sentence in your own words.

Not the hymn lyric.

What does “Because He lives” mean to YOU? ❤️

Can you name this hymn from ONE line?

“And He walks with me, and He talks with me…”

If you know it, don't say anything yet. 😂

Let's see how many people recognize it.

Before you scroll any further…

Take a breath.

Thank God for one thing.

Then ask Him:

“Lord, what do You want me to hear today?”

Sometimes the quietest prayers are the ones that change us the most. 🙏

Today’s Encouragement

Sometimes God doesn't calm the storm.

Sometimes He calms you in the middle of it.

Whatever today looks like, remember:

He is still God.
He is still good.
And He is still with you.
