The meaning of Ahlus Sabr is “People of Patience”.
Allah ﷻ says in surah Mulk that he has created death and life to test which of us does the best deeds. Indeed, the people of knowledge mention there are two tests we are tested on.
The first is the test of Qadr (predestination). The slave passes that test by being patient with the decree of his Master. The second test is doing what Allah ﷻ has commanded (which requires patience) and avoiding that which Allah ﷻ has forbidden (which requires patience as well).
On this channel, we will be providing beneficial knowledge and reminders from the Salaf and from the people of knowledge who follow the Salaf. In hopes of instilling patience upon ourselves and upon the viewers. May Allah ﷻ make us among the people of patience. Ameen.

The Extreme Student of Knowledge:
Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Ruined are those who insist on hardship in matters of the Faith.” He repeated this three times.
Sheikh Salih ibn Uthaymeen (رحمه الله تعالى) said:
This includes what hardworking students of knowledge do regarding the issues of Tawheed. You find that when they deal with verses and hadeeths regarding the Attributes of the Lord – the Mighty and Sublime they begin to probe and ask unnecessary questions the early Muslims including the companions and their students and the leaders of guidance were not asking. You find them making unnecessary searches out of needless stringence and rant. So we say to these people, “If what sufficed the companions – may Allah be pleased with them – is sufficient for you, then stop; but if not, may Allah not be generous towards you, be certain to be overrun by distress, disconcertion and anxiety.”

“How many are deluded by the blessings showered on them?
How many are tested by the praise heaped on them?
And how many are duped into a sense of security by Allah hiding their sin?”

Az-Zubaydi said while citing ‘Adh-Dhari‘ah’ regarding the role of the learner:
“It is obligatory that he does not enter into a discipline until he first covers the discipline that precedes it according to the most basic order until the need has been addressed. Exposing a person to too much knowledge muddles his ability to understand.”
