Good Morning, Friends! It was an Adventure, to say the least, reprogramming everything yesterday... But we are BACK to our Regularly Scheduled Programming! LOL
ALLLLL Livestreams, including our newest, Wild Ridge, are now up and running on 12 hour shifts! Their times they are live will be located on their thumbnails. Hummingbird Hideaway and Blue Ridge Birdbath start 7:15 and 7:30 AM ET and will run a 12 hour shift during the day. We also have a brand new Livestream starting today... Songbird Stream. You may have noticed the addition to Whispering Waters on the top tier! This is Songbird Stream! We have been waiting for enough bird activity, and also for completion of the fiber run, to bring it live. Songbird Stream will be seasonal and taken down before we hit our freezing temperatures, usually late October. Then the birds will have heated water at Songbird Porch, while the deer and wildlife have heated water at Whispering Waters! Thank you sooooooo much for your patience and encouragement during this frustrating time with Starlink. It feels really good to be BACK!

Hi Friends! I have fabulous news! Everything has checked out and we are having our Fiber Install tomorrow, Thursday September 24! I'll have the livestreams running until they arrive, somewhere in a 4 hour window, then we will have Mountain Window and Wild Ridge running while they do install. After Install is complete, I'll take our decoder/encoder livestreams offline to reprogram the equipment, while Hummingbird Hideaway and Blue Ridge Birdbath go live. Then I'll bring the streams online, one by one, as I finish programming them. Thank you so much for being patient with us! I'm very excited about getting ALLLLLLL of our livestreams back online!

Hi Friends! We got a wonderful surprise today! A truck showed up with equipment this morning! FIBER IS BEING RUN TODAY!!!! We are one step closer to getting ALL of our streams back online! Due to the noise, I have ended the streams this morning. Mountain Window will still be streaming because it does not have audio (we have insane winds here and having audio would be horrible for that). We still have to have it installed inside, which is another step. But TRENCHING IS TODAY!

We are having some work done that will make my life incredibly easier with maintaining the Habitats! I've also confirmed we are on the list for construction and trenching for Fiber, hopefully we will find out the date tomorrow. I'll get the streams up as soon as the work is done tomorrow! 🔴 These red marks may not look very exciting—but to us, they mean something BIG is getting closer!
The utility marking has begun for our new fiber internet installation here on the mountain. We paid to have it run alllll the way up here. Once construction is complete, we’ll finally have the connection needed to bring our wildlife livestreams back reliably—and run more of your favorite views around the clock! 🦌🐦💧
We still have some construction ahead of us, but those little red marks are one more visible step toward a much bigger future for The Robertson Rottie Ranch.

🚧 **A BIG Ranch Upgrade Is Coming!** 🚧
We have wonderful news: **fiber-optic internet is officially coming to The Robertson Rottie Ranch!** 🎉
Because of our mountain location, a lot of construction is needed to bring the new service allllllllll the way up to the Ranch. It's a big expense. The best estimate we have right now is **“a couple of weeks,”** so our livestreams will remain offline while we wait for the installation. We will keep you updated!
But the Ranch isn’t going quiet! In the meantime:

A quick livestream update from the Ranch 🐦💧
Due to an unexpected service-provider issue, we’ve temporarily reduced our live lineup to two favorites: Songbird Porch and Whispering Waters. The habitats and cameras are all doing well—we simply need to resolve the connection issue before bringing the regular lineup back online.
We also have something beautiful waiting in the wings! Our brand-new Songbird Stream habitat has now joined Whispering Waters, featuring cascading water and a peaceful new place for our songbirds to visit. We had hoped to introduce her today, and we’re working toward bringing her live as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to spend time with us at the Ranch. We hope to have our regular livestream lineup flowing again soon! 💚

Hi Friends! We will have our livestreams running today until around 10AM, and then taking a short break. Hummingbird Hollow and Whispering Waters will be getting their permanent cables ran and we will also be doing the install cable for our new Songbird Stream!
