When I travel for my kids’ swim meets, track meets, camps, and our family vacations, I always love finding unique, fun things along the way. This time, the ‪@Wienercar‬ Oscar Mayar Wienermobile 🌭🌭🌭found me along the way at our hotel! 😄 Along with a mini MINI ‪@Fiat‬ ! 😳 So cool!!

Little did I know how prescient my Father’s Day post would be 10 days ago. On June 26, 2026 at 4 PM, our Heavenly Father called my dad home. Please keep our family in your prayers.

My sweet wife found this picture of Dad/Dr. Roadtrip, Jr. taken on New Years Day 2018 at the Cinderella Castle restaurant. We had never eaten there before, and Snow White helped make this amazing photo with him. He always loved vacationing at Walt Disney World.

This year, Father’s Day for me means something a little different from previous ones. My dad is still here on this earth, but he has been diagnosed with dementia AND Alzheimer’s, and hospice has been taking care of him at Veterans Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro, SC.

After Mom passed away earlier this year, I’ve been waiting to get the same phone call about Roadtrip Dad, and I did get a scare in April. But praise God, he is still here, and I’m so thankful I’ve been able to spend some extra time with him!

If you have a father still here on earth, thank the Lord for him. Spend time with him, and let him know how much he means to you and your family. You never know how much time you will have with your dad before your Heavenly Father calls him home.

It’s very surreal right now. RTD1 is graduating from high school! In 1 hour, my first born will be a high school graduate, and he will be going to college in 3 months! Crazy times!!

This is the first Mother’s Day when I no longer have my mom on this earth. She is no longer here for me to call her and talk to her about what my kids are doing. She is no longer here for me to pat her curly-haired head. She is no longer here to reminisce with her about our old family Disney vacations and talk about the future ones Mrs. Roadtrip and I have planned.

If you still have a mother on this earth, thank the Lord God that He has kept her for you to enjoy and serve in this life. Treasure the time you spend with her. Happy Mother’s Day to Mrs. Roadtrip and all the moms out there!

Found these guys on YouTube! They’re called Peace In Believing, and while they use some AI to give their recordings a professional sound, they legit play this music.

Their version of this 90s classic praise song is SUUUUCH a better version! I prefer this version over the original in a heartbeat!!
