Happy 17th Birthday to my amazing son! Kaleb, there are not enough words I could use to tell you how proud of you I am and how much I love you. Being your dad is a blessing. Watching you grow from the inquisitive and attentive little boy to the intelligent, caring, talented and strong in faith young man that you are now has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
Last year we were gearing up for your driver's test and now we're looking at colleges (shout out Shorter University ). Coming off the opening night of Alice by Heart and your first lead role in high school. Each year, each moment leads to the day that you leave LG and pursue your life. God has guided your steps everyday along the way and He will continue to do so. I will cherish this last year and half so much and pray that time slows down just a little. But for now, this is today and I hope it's the best birthday yet!

Everyone please help me wish my baby boy Jakob a Happy 13th Birthday 🎂🎉
To know him is to love him. Jakob is one of the funniest, loving, understanding, intelligent and talented people I've ever known. He lights up a room and everyone is drawn to him because of his amazing personality.
He's also one of the strongest and toughest people that I've ever known. Notice that I didn't say kid. He is really one of the strongest and toughest people I have ever known. He handled the adversity this summer with Elegance and Grace. Nothing but love and a heart to get back on his feet as quickly as possible. I don't think he understands how his motivation and drive got me through some of the worst times of my life. Whenever I would have a bad night or I would go through depression because life was throwing curveballs at me, I would think about Jakob and how he handled the situation with his broken leg. In a way he became my hero!
If you don't know him, you're missing out and if you do know him, you know the treasure that he is.
Happy birthday son! I thank God for you everyday that he chose me to be your dad!
