The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Minecraft will be released on October 27.

Vibrant Visuals will be automatically available on this device. In addition, the unique “Super Mario Mash-Up” will be updated. It will be free.

Will the update be free? There is no specific information. Everything in the article sounds very vague:

“For those of you who already own Minecraft on Nintendo Switch™, a digital update will be available for Nintendo Switch players. More details will be announced later.”

To celebrate the release of the new update, Minecraft is launching new challenges with rewards.

Bedrock players can already get new cosmetic items for their characters. And Java players… well, skins.

There will be two challenges. What exactly they are is still being kept secret. But what about the rewards? Here’s what the article says:

“Luckily, your tasks will take place entirely in Minecraft, and as a reward, you’ll get something MUCH BETTER than a meeting with HR!”

Yeah… I think we’re getting another cape.

This is most likely what the new cape for completing the Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail will look like.

There’s no official file yet, but I think it’ll be leaked online soon. Moonlight Trail takes place in Argentina. It starts on May 15, and the cheapest ticket will cost about $36.

I think some enterprising folks will start selling capes from this event, but the price will probably be very high at first.

Filming for *A Minecraft Sequel* began today.

Jack Black announced this by posting a portrait of himself as Steve on Instagram. Interestingly, it was drawn by Christoffer Zetterstrand (the very same artist who created all the artwork for *Minecraft*).
