Hi Everyone,
Welcome to our channel. We are Barney and Sandy and we love to share the beautiful projects that we work on. Our current, huge project is our Homestead. 15 years ago, we had the goal of wanting to be off grid. Then the LORD moved us to Northern BC. We have since sold our home (which was on the grid) in Northern BC, bought a 40 Acre parcel of wilderness land and are developing that into a beautiful off grid homestead which we have grown to love. We did not want a large home but rather we longed for a small cozy cabin to call home. We continue to develop the driveway, garden, solar power, sewer, water source, our cabin and everything else we feel we'll need. We still live in Northern BC. Hi Everyone,
Winter has arrived in its entire chilly splendor. We just wanted to touch base and let you know that we are still keeping on. We are hoping to get some videos out soon but we are still trying to get the cabin to completion so we can get moved in. RV living is challenging in the -20C and below, but even more so when the temperatures plummet to almost -40C. We are heading to those temps tomorrow, December 12, 2025. We are staying warm and toasty when we are inside, but we’ve got more than a foot of snow in the past several days and much more yet to come so we are working hard to keep our trails open. We look forward to seeing you all soon!

Finally, our cozy cabin is looking cozier. It’s getting, drywall, paint and electricity. Wow, such a game changer! Also, digging in heavily frozen ground is very challenging, unless you have the right tools. Come check out our progress.

GOD impressed Barney today was the day to do a ‘Day in the Life’ video. We show that doing basic chores off grid is not so easy, such as: Laundry, garden work, installing our cistern, canning and then came a community emergency that required all hands on deck. In our last home, we purchased these same doors. We loved them so much WE DID IT AGAIN! Be sure to check our upcoming episode in our Cabin Build Series to see these beautiful wood doors! The range hood venting looks simple but boy, did it have its challenges. After we hired a duct building specialist, he made it a lot easier.
