Hey guys Jerry here. I’m going to try a livestream from one of my fields at around 5:45pm. Just forgive me if a little shaky or if connection is not too good out here in the middle of nowhere. If it is bad I’ll pull the plug. If you see it let me know if the connection is ok. Probably try this for around 30 minutes or so. Might see a deer.

We’re feeling like "Tax Cattle" after our latest property assessment —an estimated 16% tax hike was a total shock. 🐮🏠 Where is this money actually going? What are the "invisible taxes" we all pay? Why does it seem retirees are being hit the hardest?
Watch the full story here: https://youtu.be/wkA0GoDFR4c
I'm curious to see how everyone else is holding up. Are you okay with your property taxes going up? 🏠💸 💬👇

Nature definitely had a surprise waiting for us in the backyard woods this week! ⚡️ Between getting the new deer feeder set up and discovering a 'lightning bomb' that shredded one of our trees, there was never a dull moment.
We’ve seen some wild things in the woods, but a direct strike that close is a first for us! Have any of you ever had a close call with lightning or found a 'lightning tree' on your property? Let us know your stories in the comments! 👇

I’ve been reading through the comments on my latest video about retiring early, and it’s got me thinking more about the "anchors" we all carry. For me, it was 18 years of balancing the mortgage and the kids' future before I felt I could step away.
I’m curious where you are in your journey. What is the main thing that feels like your biggest "anchor" right now?
I shared my honest of Why I Stayed and Why I Left here if you missed it: https://youtu.be/cKjoVEhrztQ

No more thorns! 🌹🧱 I finally sat down and dealt with the rose bush that was blocking the greenhouse entrance. It was a lot more work than I bargained for, but wait until you see the new red paver path!
The full video of the transformation (and the struggle with those thorns!) drops this Sunday, July 16th at 5:00PM.
Can’t wait for you all to see it—see you in the comments! 👇

Mel’s been busy in the garden getting our blueberry bushes into the ground! 🫐 We’ve got a new video coming Thursday at 5:00 PM showing the whole process (including a little surprise in the compost bin... 🐝). Question: What’s the one plant in your garden you’re most proud of right now?

What does retirement really look like?
For us, it means having the time to help family, take care of the places that matter, and enjoy the simple things in life.
In this video, we headed over to my mom’s property to get things ready for summer. We cleaned up the pool, tackled a 40 year old pool deck, and put the tractor to work getting the fields looking better.
It was a lot of work, but honestly… this is exactly the kind of life we wanted.
Check out the video and let us know what you think!
