Tom Sharman: lords of the locks, captains of the canals ~ some bts 35mm photos shot between 2022 and 2024 for Neil Ingall and Joe Spray’s project ‘gongoozlers’ based entirely along the london canals and in collaboration with @muzzle.site. these are some of my personal selected favourites which were used within the final cut of this amazing and imaginative project.

Gongozler's is out on Boxing Day. What is a Gongoozler? A person who enjoys watching boats and activities on canals. (long, narrow, artificially made stretches of water). - Canal locks often attract Gongoozlers. - Gongoozlers often like to collect or create canal related artwork. - The term is regularly used, perhaps with a little irony, to describe themselves and their hobby.
