Guys I swear things are moving but omg no one told me about uni second year being this bad, just got here and I’m already behind what is this.
I saw the TikToks and other media but I thought it was fear mongering as an engagement tactic not that I’d have to read three books and more a week. Safe to say the video has been put on the back burner until I settle down a bit but right now my life is in disarray.
Finally on to the editing side of things about to have 1,555 ss so looking forward to that.
I’m currently moving to uni so have been saying bye to everyone which has been fun. But now I have a few days of nothing so should be able to get a steady rhythm going.
Also I will be continuing the musical but not for a while. The way I went about it all was silly and really burnt me out, which lessons learnt for next time! But please don’t ask after it a lot it wont incentivise me to make it.
Just got back from a camping trip where I had no WiFi so the video whilst being made is being made very slowly.
I just wanted to make a few disclaimers before it comes out which could be anytime, I’m unsure.
Firstly, this is made by me for me and people who enjoy twst or beetlejuice but because it’s made by me some parts won’t be as canon as you may like or you may disagree with how the react/ talk.
Secondly, this is part one other parts will be made. However, when they will be made is unknown. Beetlejuice is something I love, but I will loose motivation if I only focus on that.
Thirdly, there will be jokes from the source material that can be seen as disrespectful/ inappropriate. All feelings are valid so if anything upsets you please don’t watch I don’t want anyone to become hurt.
Finally, I won’t, just, be making the beetlejuice au so whilst I really appreciate your support for that please do not comment under other videos asking after it or demanding things from me. I make this for myself, it’s already hard as I’m at university paired with my inability to commit properly to anything, the only thing you asking after it will do is make me unmotivated. (This doesn’t mean you can’t ask I just don’t want it all the time and to be the only thing in my comments)
This beetlejuice au is quite depressive, I know the musical itself is quite funny but I made it more realistic. I don’t believe that any of the characters would take death too lightly, there is an essence of them making dark humoured or satire jokes, but there aren’t as many as people may want.
I won’t change it as I want to stick to my own interpretation of canon but I just wanted to preface this so people know what to go into watching it thinking.
This may change as time goes on and they settle into the idea that it’s a different reality but I think the initial shock factor would last longer than half an hour.
I’m making a beetlejuice alternate au video and I’m breaking the musical up into parts, part 1 is about 37 minutes of the musical so 1/4th with additional text from me it comes to about an hour is that okay? I don’t know how long people are willing to watch of videos.
I keep having to ask for help, but I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to format a movie au video. I wanted to do ‘Barbie and the dancing shoes’ but I’m curious is it best to just extract the sound or a faded video? So when pauses in dialogue occurs the viewer still sees something.
I’m planning on just watching the movie and writing the dialogue and description straight into the app I use; I see no other way to do it. But I was just wondering how people go about this from personal experience or what people as viewers prefer layout wise.
