Netflix's true crime limited series premieres this December 10th.

Omg...I was 10ft away from Ted Bundy's Beetle yesterday!
The feeling was beyond unexplainable. Not in a good way.
I tried to get different angles but these vehicles are behind a guard rail so it was hard ... i tried though

On August 1, 2026, a deceased newborn girl, named "Baby Angelita" by investigators, was tragically found on the side of Struve Road in Moss Landing, CA. Authorities believe the 14-year-old gave birth by the roadside.

An Amber Alert is active for 14-year-old Diana Galvez Ortega. She was last seen with her 38-year-old father, Sergio Galvez Perez.
• The Father: Wanted for alleged incest, rape, child endangerment, and child concealment.
• The Teen: Investigators emphasize that Diana is a victim of severe abuse, though she also faces a juvenile murder charge in connection to the newborn's death.

Case Details
• The Ruling: On August 25, 2026, a unanimous three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (including Judge John Z. Lee) upheld the dismissal of a federal possession charge against a Wisconsin man. The Defendant: Steven Anderegg of Holmen, Wisconsin, was arrested in 2024 after authorities found thousands of hyper-realistic, AI-generated explicit images of children on his computer created using Stable Diffusion Active Charges Remain: Separate federal charges accusing him of producing, distributing and sending the material to a minor remain pending. Legal Reasoning & Precedent

The court noted it was bound by older U.S. Supreme Court decisions that limit how the government can regulate virtual or private material:
• Stanley v. Georgia (1969): Established that individuals have a constitutional right to possess obscene material privately in their homes. Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition (2002): Ruled that computer-generated or virtual child pornography that does not use or depict a real child is protected speech under the First Amendment rather than unprotected child sexual abuse material. Judge's Concerns

Writing for the panel, Judge Lee emphasized that rapid advancements in generative AI have rendered modern synthetic imagery nearly indistinguishable from real photos, creating a legal blind spot. “We now live in an age where GenAI models can render images depicting the abuse of virtual children that are virtually indistinguishable from those depicting the abuse of actual children,” Lee wrote, urging the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit the issue.
