tbh these “soft edits” or “smooth edits” (according to yt) are starting to feel more like “lazy edits” so many of them rely on jelly 2 and a few random effects instead of actual creativity or timing. it’s become really repetitive — you can scroll through someone’s page and see the exact same animation used in almost every post with barely any variation. i’m not saying jelly 2 is bad or shouldn’t be used, but when it’s the main thing in every edit and nothing else evolves, it’s hard to call that improvement. real growth in editing comes from trying new techniques, not just reusing the same effect over and over. not to mention, these people also ONLY do soft edits.
