It’s been a while since I posted. like many of you, it’s been hard to talk about anything besides *waves around* all that’s happening. I also felt a strange sense of why are we acting normal? online and didn’t want to add to that disconnect.
I took a break to process and channel my feelings into offline action, volunteering and supporting initiatives. I'm early in that journey and still figuring out where I can contribute the most, but I feel like I'm building momentum, and accepting that everyday is about doing *something*, not the *perfect* moral thing.

I am going to continue to share my art here because it is something that makes me happy, and is also part of my work. But for those who've experienced the same cognitive dissonance, I just want to reiterate that none of this is is normal. I'm not going to stop speaking up about the things that matter to me here. But I am going to also post my art processes regularly again, not because I think things are normal, but because it's my breathing space.

Thanks everyone for being here for all of the ups and downs over the last few years♥️ I guess we're gearing up for chapter 3000 this year☺️

Hi friends! Here's a little progress on my new bear. It has already gone through a few different iterations - brain sparks are flying but the hands havrn't caught up yet, so progress is a little slower than I would like. But I do feel like I'm starting to see the bear that I'm looking for in there. Trust🙌

Morning friends! I hope you're having a great weekend😊 Personally I came down with a bug this week, so have mostly been feeling sorry for myself in bed🤒 And watching lots of the nostalgic 2000s comedies that are available here on YouTube for free😅 yesterday I finally emerged from the bed-cave and decorated the bow part on this mug with underglazes and an underglaze pencil. Hoping to slowly finish the illustration on the front over the weekend♥️ and be back on track with life by next week!!

Hi friends!

After a month of settling in/setting up my new space (including a temp work space), acclimating the kitties and catching up with tons of sleep, I'm excited to get back to a more "normal" routine again☺️ Since I'm staying at a cottage over the summer I'm unable to set up a kiln atm, so I've decided to spend the next few weeks learning and getting better at alternative firing methods (like raku, obvara, pit fires, reduction and open fires) - there will be a ton of experimenting, and I really hope this is a journey that you're gonna enjoy coming along for too!!

With that, I have been low-key keeping my art practice going by drawing your kitties with oil pastels 😸 it's been so much fun that I definately want to keep going along the ceramics☺️ if you'd like to submit a kitty or doggy or other companion animal next time I have an open call, I'll be announcing it on my Patreon (it's Diana Svensk - the membership is free and open to join :))

Once more, thank you so so much for your support and for making this move possible!! It was a huge push before I left the US and I can't believe we're all here now. Ari and Davie have adjusted so well too. I built a catio for them this past weekend. We're so happy!!!

Hello friends and fam!!!!! I have arrived in Sweden, and although the trip itself was a challenge, we're all doing great adjusting to our new home. Thank you so much again for supporting this move♥️ for those interested, I'm dedicating some hours today and tomorrow to sketch, just to get back into the swing of making things (I'm having an art block somehow despite feeling like I've got a ton of ideas!!) and I would love to make some sketches of your kitties.
