Back in the woods, where things can get boring or really scary, really fast.

The latest CCIS On Location takes us into Wyantenock State Forest, and this one had a different feeling from the start. Deep woods, little sign of people, and an eerie silence that made us stop and pay attention.

We went in looking for whatever the forest was willing to give us. Sometimes that means finding something. Sometimes it means standing there wondering what the hell just made that sound. Either way, we’re out there.

The new episode is up now on YouTube. Go see what happened.

On location episodes. Link in bio. Follow us for more adventures.

Last night, we made it to our friend Richard Cyr’s “Screams in the Night” book event at Morris Public Library, it was fun and entertaining, but as you know, if you watched our previous episodes, his joy could not be completed without officially earning his “Squatchin License”.

We presente him with a challenge, something we’ve been planning since our last episode at Wyantenoc State Forest. Go check it out on our YouTube channel.

Feels good to be back on track!

Sometimes we find things we can’t explain, sometimes those things, can’t be proven. Any how, we go out in this quest that takes us places and raises questions. Always remembering, it’s all about enjoying the ride.

It’s about getting out there, people!

Let’s be real for a minute.

Lately, we’ve seen a lot of conversation about Bigfoot sightings across New England, especially following the recent reports here in Connecticut and Maine.

While the excitement is awesome, it’s also good to talk about an important matter: fake evidence.

Whether it’s a staged footprint, a blurry photo of a ghillie suit, or a doctored audio track, faking evidence does way more harm than good.

At the Connecticut Cryptid Investigative Society (CCIS), we have a zero-tolerance policy for hoaxes, and here is exactly why we will never fake a discovery:

* It kills scientific credibility: The moment a group puts out fake data, the entire field takes a step backward. If we want mainstream science to take cryptids seriously, our research has to be bulletproof.

* It disrespects real witnesses: People who have actual, terrifying, unexplainable encounters are often hesitant to speak out because they are afraid of being laughed at.

* It wastes valuable field time: Every hour we spend debunking a known hoax is an hour we could have spent tracking authentic activity in places like Pachaug State Forest.

We are not in this for the viral clicks. If we spend weeks in the woods and find absolutely nothing, that is what we show you.

Follow us right here on social media for live updates from the field, and head over to our YouTube channel to watch our raw, unfiltered investigations.

We do not need special effects because the woods are wild enough on their own.
