Hello everyone, I wanted to make a video about this, but I've been unable to, so I wanted to share a channel update via a post instead.

So far this school year work has been very busy. I'm at a new school and I feel rejuvenated, which has led to me spending more time planning and trying new things in the classroom compared to previous years. I've switched from full time learning support to half Learning Support and half teaching JR Math, so that's been an adjustment as well. I really like my new school though and I'm happy to report we have a bustling Tabletop Club for the kids that meets three times per week. On top of that I'm also running a volleyball team which generally has 2 practices and 2 games a week, so I may have bitten off more than I could chew here!

Unfortunately I've also recently suffered another concussion. You may remember me talking about my history with them before, but this is my 8th one. And while I'm still going to work, I can't put the extra strain on my mind by filming and (especially) editing videos. I hope that I'll be feeling healthy soon and I can record a video before too long.

I actually have a ton of videos prepped that I never got around to making including:
-Warhammer Math for Beginners (fully scripted, just never shot it)
-Ironjawz vs Soulblight Battle Report (I'm worried this one might be too old at this point, it's fully prepped, just need to edit).
-My reaction to the Khazalite Hold stuff (notes made, just never filmed).
-Tahlia Vedra lore video (mostly scripted)
-Beginner advice for building models (scripted and filmed, but the video footage isn't the best so I never finished editing).

I also still need to make a Should You Play Sons of Behemat video and the Khazalite Holds video will be doable soon once the book info comes out.

I think my plan is to wait until I feel healthy and then focus on those Should You Play videos, since those are the most popular. Maybe I can sneak a podcast in with Jack at some point. But maybe one day I'll get around to all these scripts that I made and never completed!

I played a match against ‪@SigmarStrategy‬ today! I'll leave it up to your imagination to figure out who won ;). It was a very fun match, and I can say Sigmar Strategy is as nice live as you'd imagine from watching his videos. Would play him again for sure! (even though he kicked my butt xD).

Jack and I played a game tonight, I won't spoil the result, because I took photos throughout and I'm going to try my hand at making another battle report video.

It was a lot of work taking notes throughout while still playing, really extended out gametime too. The photos aren't as nice as I hoped either. At the end of the day, all I can do is try to make each batrep video a little nicer than the last one, but there is a big learning curve. Big respect to those that do this consistently and at a high level like Season of War.

I might try getting two players to play while I just photograph and take notes, maybe if I focus entirely on the production side I can get a better result.

I've turned on memberships on my channel. I'll share some background about it below, but the TLDR is that there is one tier, the lowest $ amount. I'll put members names in my videos (except for one I've already filmed and edited) to share their support and highlight them.

I've had memberships off for a long time because I switched niches on youtube and I didnt want to put memberships out there until I felt I was offering solid content. The Should You Play videos take a lot of time to make and I feel good about how they are turning out, and I think if I can continue with the battle report format I tested today (which will also take a lot of time to script and edit). This led me to the decision that its time to turn on the membership option again.

There is ZERO pressure to sign up. Watching and commenting is amazing support, and I appreciate everyone that checks out my videos. But if you are up for a little extra support. I appreciate it and will utilize that motivation and funds to improve the channel.

If you are looking at the new GHB and wondering how you will process it all then look no further than ‪@shintobean‬'s video on the new GHB. He even has downloadable cards that you can print so you can easily reference the GHB info while you play. These cards can be cut out and put into MTG sleeves (or whatever tcg you play, unless it's YuGiOh, that's undersized, heart of the cards and all). Thanks Shintobean!

"How do I get better at Warhammer?" is one of the most common questions I see online. Often I saw you need to play games and just muck through it and learn lessons as you go. The other thing you can do is watch Sigmar Strategy! His videos offer many clear and repeatable strategies and will absolutely make you a better player.

I think I am improving as a player, but I have a long way to go. Every time I play in one of these tournaments, I come out with some neat new tricks and lessons, I hope to be able to share competitive advice one day on the channel, but I need to improve my win-rate a little more before I can do that... :D
