It's been an all stitch kind of day. Which means it's been a very good day.

Today I decided to listen to my gut which has been telling me for the last oh year and a half that I had taken a wrong turn with this piece. So I took a bunch of these huge bullions off and unraveled everything so I could reuse the yarn and suddenly, I had the idea of how to turn it around.
I love it when that happens.

Whew! Another busy but productive day. I finally got all the Forest Fragments uploaded to the web shop.
What's a Forest Fragment? They're little pieces of fiber art you can wear or hang or even frame.
Every Forest Fragment has a pin on the back so you can wear it, along with a loop for hanging. Pin one to a jacket, a hat, or a bag, or hang it somewhere that could use a little unexpected joy.
Each is made entirely by hand, and no two are exactly alike. They make a perfect little gift.
Here's the link:

You pick your favorite color family, and I'll choose a Forest Fragment for you. The photographs show examples of the colors and textures available. Your piece will be unique, with its own combination of fabrics, fibers, and embellishments.
$50 each plus $5 shipping. US only

Busy day today. I dropped off two pieces of art for the annual Cabrillo 12x12 art show. I have been meaning to get something over there for the last few years and finally managed this year. I wish you could see all the sparkle on the blue piece or touch the textures on the green.
I also got the terrariums listed on my website. They'd be a perfect gift for someone who loves nature but can't get out to garden anymore or perhaps a student in a dorm room.
You can check them out here:

I still have the Forest Fragments to get listed, (combo ornament/brooch) but if you know about them and you're looking for particular color feel free to message me.

It doesn’t look like much yet but playing with all the components helped me develop a plan and get excited about the project all over again.

Not only did I finish cleaning up the studio today, but I also got the Pocket Wilds listed in my shop.
What's a Pocket Wild? It's a little piece of the wild to hold in your hand. Pick it up and play with the fibers. The more you play with it, the wilder it gets!
Find your favorite before it's gone.

The last step in putting the studio back together is sorting all the fabric scraps into their respective boxes and then moving them out of the way so I can use the island again.
I have so many ideas that it's fun to try and figure out what I will be doing next.
