Beautiful people, I have a small confession
I've had those moments where a teacher says something about a child, and my first instinct is to defend before I even hear the full story.

But I've learned the way we react to hard feedback teaches our children how to receive hard feedback too. If we get defensive, they learn to deny. If we panic, they learn to fear mistakes. If we stay calm and curious, they learn that mistakes are just information, not identity.
It's not easy. But it matters.

Life will eventually introduce you to a younger version of yourself through your children.

The question is: What will they learn from watching you? Because children may not always do what we say, but they often become what they see.
Will they learn kindness or anger? Respect or disrespect? Integrity or excuses? Faith or fear? Love or bitterness?

One day, your child may respond to life the same way they watched you respond to it.
So before we ask, "What kind of children are we raising?" perhaps we should first ask, "What kind of example are we setting?"
The little eyes watching you today are writing tomorrow's story. Make sure it is a story worth repeating.
