Edit Your Inner World

Happy Monday ladies!

September is here, which means we have four months left in this year. So my question is — have you reached your money goal? Are you close?

I'll go first. For two years now I've had the same money goal, and I have not achieved it. Every year I've stretched what I earn. Every year I'm still nowhere near where I want to be. That's the truth of it.

So this August, after months of doing the inner work, I felt a sudden pull to go on an abundance journey — to immerse myself for 21 days in my own finances, review my strategy, and figure out how I actually reach that goal.

I'm on day 8. And the theme that keeps coming back is the value of a dollar.

It reminds me of an exercise in The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco — working out exactly what you earn per hour, and per minute. It is excruciatingly painful if you've never looked at it before. But when I did it, I had an AHA moment: there is no such thing as small money. Every cent counts. Every cent matters when you make it matter.

Now I think of each dollar as a soldier. Where can I position it so that it grows, so that it protects me, so that it gives me joy?

You don't need to go big. But you must think big and go tiny.

Pick a set of habits you can implement right now. Write them down. Every day, choose one to focus on — until they stop being habits you're doing and start being who you are.

If you don't respect a dollar, don't be surprised when a dollar doesn't respect you. It's a relationship, and it's all up to you.

Reply with the one habit you're starting this week. I'll come back on day 21 and tell you what changed for me.

Where is your money going that you haven't looked at directly?

21-Day Abundance Challenge
DAY 7
From Wanting Change to Choosing Change
For years, whenever my life looked exactly the same as the year before, I would repeat the same words to myself: “I want my life to change. I want to change my life.” I said it over and over until the words almost lost their meaning.
But now I understand that wanting change is not enough. I do not simply want my life to change; I am committed to changing it. I am willing to do what it takes. There is a force within me that I know, with certainty, can move mountains.

Standing Up for the Life I Want
One of the best quotes I have ever read is from Tina Turner: “You asked me if I ever stood up for anything. Yeah, I stood up for my life.” That is where it begins. I have to stand up for the life I want. I have to create it, design it, and take the actions required to make it real.

The life I am living today is the result of my repeated decisions, habits, thoughts, and responses. There is no way around that truth. If I want a different life, I must become a different decision-maker.

No One Is Coming to Rescue Me
No one is coming. I know this because, for years, I waited for the perfect partner to arrive, take me away, transform my life, and make everything easier. That has not happened, and I am no longer waiting for it.

There is a powerful quote I’ve heard from Kerry Washington: “If you wait for someone to create magic in your life, you will wait until the day you die.” I can create that magic. I have seen other women do it, and I can do it too.

Designing Freedom Through Daily Choices
Saying “I want to change my life” is no enough. I am changing my life. That means paying close attention to my daily habits, my choices, my thoughts, and the way I respond to life.

I must respond differently. I must make different decisions. I must know how I am spending my time because the destination for me is total freedom.

I want to be free from depending financially on a company just to survive. I did not come into this world only to serve a company, wake up, get ready, go to work, come home, and repeat the same cycle endlessly. I want the freedom to look outside, see the sun, and choose to sit somewhere beautiful with a coffee if that is what my soul needs. I want to wake up and, if I do not feel well, not have to trade my wellbeing for someone else’s schedule.

My reflection for the day: I will begin each morning by reviewing my 10-year life plan so I can remember the destination. Then, throughout the day, I will act like the person who has already achieved everything written on that page.

21-Day Abundance Challenge
DAY 6
Instead of replaying imaginary conversations in my mind—what I would say if a boss asked me to work weekends again, called after office hours, or crossed a boundary—I am choosing to direct that energy somewhere more powerful: toward building financial freedom money. That is the money that gives me options, space, and the power to walk away from situations that do not serve me.

I already know how to earn money by exchanging my time; I have been doing that for years. Now the question is different: how do I increase my personal income streams, grow what I already have, and make my money work for me? I want to think like the general of my money—deciding where each “money soldier” needs to go so it can fight for my freedom: freedom from difficult bosses, unpleasant situations, unhealthy relationships, and unsafe environments.

Day 6 Reflection: Becoming Drastically Strategic With My Money
I need to build financial freedom money for real. I am becoming more intentional about what my money is doing while I sleep: where it is held, what return it earns, and whether it is working hard enough for the life I am creating.

I am also being honest with myself: I cannot complain about someone being bossy if I am choosing to work for them and depend entirely on that income. If I want more control over my life, I need to make decisions that increase my options.

So, I have made a few practical decisions:
• Increase the rent for seven tenants in 2027 and give notice now so they have enough time to prepare.
• Explore investing in real estate separately from my investment company.
• Look for banks or financial options that offer better returns than a basic savings account.
• Put refunded investment money back to work immediately instead of letting it sit idle.
One investment account I opened two years ago required a small deposit before approval. Two years later, my submission was still pending, so I requested a refund and received it this week. Now I am choosing to redirect that money immediately and ask myself: what else can I do, from where I am today, to start creating the kind of financial freedom that allows me to be fully in charge of my life?

21-Day Abundance Challenge
DAY 5
“There are people less qualified than you doing the things you want to do because they believe in themselves and take action.”

Sabotage Tool #1: Putting Others on a Pedestal
Done is better than perfect. I have a habit of putting people on a pedestal and imagining that they are so successful that everything they touch turns to gold. In reality, I am often only seeing the polished version: the glossy pictures on social media, the follower count, and the well-crafted email marketing. I am not seeing the doubts, mistakes, failures, or imperfect first attempts behind the scenes.

A few years ago, I received an email from a woman I followed announcing that she had created a resale digital product for £47. I immediately thought, “Count me in.” But when I received the bundle, I was disappointed. It was so simple, and my first thought was: I could have created something better, with more meaningful content.

That moment showed me one of my favorite self-sabotage patterns: giving too much power to other people and making myself feel powerless. If I am passionate about something, I am allowed to create it—even if it starts simply. If it helps one person, that is enough. I do not need to be a so-called social media expert, and I do not need to make something so perfect that no one can criticize it. Some people will love it, and others may not. But if it helps a few people, that is worth focusing on.
Start now. Put it out there. Do not wait for it to be perfect, because perfect does not exist—it is a matter of opinion.

Finishing One Thing Is Better Than Starting Ten
My second sabotage tool is working on too many projects at the same time and allowing my mind to jump from one idea to the next. It is like opening the Uber app, entering one destination, then changing it to another, and then another. The GPS will keep adjusting the route, but I will not reach ten destinations at the same time. I have to choose one destination and start the journey there.

My Day 5 Reflection
I am working on a project right now. The insight came, and I intend to see it through. Even if I only work on it for 30 minutes a day, I will keep going until it is done. Then I will put it online for sale because I know it can help people—and helping some people is enough.

It does not have to be perfect. It just needs to be completed, shared, and improved through feedback.

21-Day Abundance Challenge
DAY 4
A Road Trip Lesson in Faith
More than a decade ago, my niece, a female cousin, and I decided to travel by road from Guinea to Gambia and Senegal. It had been a dream of mine because my father once travelled by car from Chad to Guinea, and I wanted to experience that kind of journey for myself.

I do not clearly remember what our accommodation plan was for Gambia, but I remember this: we arrived late at night in an unfamiliar city. Unlike Senegal, where we had many family members, we did not know anyone there. We were outside, unsure of what to do, and I remember holding on to the belief that God would be there for us.
And He was. We met a countryman who invited us into the humble home he shared with his wife and children. He did not know us. We could have been anyone, and he could have been anyone too. Yet he opened his door, offered us safety, and allowed us to stay for the length of our visit without asking for money.

That night, when no one we knew was available and we did not have enough money for accommodation, God gave us a roof, safety, and provision. That experience stayed with me.

Stop Knocking on Closed Doors
Years later, I started working for a company and was promised a promotion. That promotion never materialized. A woman took over the department, and I believed she did not want to give it to me.

I became angry. For a few years, I kept knocking on that same door, trying everything, blaming her, resenting her, and making her the reason I believed I could not move forward.

Then I began doing the inner work. Through meditation and reflection, the answer finally came: Stop knocking on closed doors. Stop making people the source of your abundance. God is the only source.

It felt as if a veil had been removed from my eyes. I realized I had made another human being—the same kind of human being as me—the source of my success. That realization hit me like ice water.

The moment I stopped focusing on that promotion, things changed. I took over our real estate business and grew it. I started my investment company. I began seeing opportunities that had been invisible to me because I had been too busy blaming someone else for why I was not successful. In truth, that promotion would likely have given me more work, not a meaningful increase in income.

My Day 4 Reflection
My reflection for Day 4 is simple: I have the ability to create wealth. There is no doubt about that. I am resourceful, I am creative, and the only source of abundance I need to turn to is God.

There is always another way. There is always another road. But to see those options, I must stop giving my power away. I must stop blaming my boss, the government, a sibling, a friend, a relative, or anyone else. I must stop the blame game.

Jack Canfield said it wisely: we only complain about things we can change. No one complains about gravity. I do not know about you, but I have never had a conversation with someone who said, “All of this is because of gravity.” Never.
So, the moment I start complaining, I want to pause and ask myself: Who or what am I giving my power to right now? And what can I do for myself in this situation?

What This Challenge Is Teaching Me
This 21-day challenge reminded me that God is my only source of abundance. It is an affirmation I say daily because it keeps me from allowing anyone’s “no” or any closed door to make me believe it is over.

It reminds me that my life is not blocked because one person is unwilling to help, because I do not have a certain connection, because I lack some knowledge, or because I do not yet have the money. If God is my source, then my options are endless.

There is always a way. If I keep faith, an answer will come. An idea will come. An insight will come. I have lived this truth many times.
I am still on Day 4. What are you waiting for? Join the challenge. It is getting better day after day.

21-Day Abundance Challenge
DAY 3
Active Commitment
Being committed is not enough if that commitment does not translate into daily action. It is easy to say, “I am committed,” but real commitment shows up in the small choices we repeat, adjust, and protect every day.

The Lunch Break Lesson
For many years, I complained about the food sold near our office. In recent years, I also started feeling nauseous after lunch again and again, even though I was spending a lot of money on those meals. A few colleagues suggested that I bring food from home, but I always had a reason why I could not: it was too much trouble, I had to carry it, I used public transportation, I did not have a car, and so on.
Then came my “enough” day, as Jim Rohn would say: paying almost $30 for a meal and wanting to vomit afterward. That was the moment I made a real commitment to start cooking and bringing food from home.

At first, I tried cooking every day, but it was not convenient. Then I tried cooking three times a week, which was better, but I was still carrying containers daily. Eventually, I remembered that we have a fridge in the office pantry, so I started bringing food for two to three days at a time. I kept adjusting until the solution worked for me.
Why? Because I was actively committed—not only to stop wasting money on restaurant meals, but more importantly, to eat clean, delicious food that supports my body. Since making that change, I feel better, I no longer deal with the same nausea, and I have saved money.
Commitment doesn't mean stubbornly repeating the same method.
“I am committed to creating the result, and I am willing to experiment until I find what works.”

Applying the Same Commitment to My Money Goal
When I look at this 21-day journey and the money goal I currently have, I know I need to apply the same principle: active commitment. I need to try, pivot, reassess, and stay clear about the outcome I am creating.
This goal is connected to a bigger vision for my future life. Last February, I travelled to Singapore with my sister and stayed at the YOLO hotel on Orchard Road. On our last day, we had breakfast at the -Starbucks across from the hotel, then walked along Orchard Road around 10 a.m. I still remember how safe and free I felt in that moment.

That is the life I am moving toward: mornings where my time is fully mine, where I can walk to a nearby coffee shop, enjoy a city I love, and feel at peace in my own life.
The money goal is not the main goal. The real goal is to live a life where work is optional—where work becomes an important project I choose, not something I must depend on for survival. The main goal is to truly live, to live fully, to experience the wonders of the world, and to honor this life I have been given.

My Day 3 Reflection
I need to be actively committed to creating this life for myself—not just committed in theory but actively committed every single day. No one can do your push-up for you.
Because nobody can:
Think your thoughts for you,
Make your decisions for you,
Protect your attention for you,
Build your business for you,
Create your life for you.
People can help.
People can teach.
People can encourage.
But ultimately:
Nobody can do your push-up.

This is Day 3 of my 21-day challenge, and I feel good. The no-news practice is creating mental space. I feel less reactive, more relaxed, and I can already feel the difference.

Every day, ask yourself: What do you really want? That is the only journal prompt you need. Keep asking until the answer becomes clear—because it will.

It is not too late to join me on this 21-day challenge journey, hop on!

And then... this particular chapter from the book - Unfu*k Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and into Your Life – by Gary John Bishop (Author)
ARE YOU WILLING?
THIS ONE, may be one of the most important chapters for my particular 21 days.
Because “Am I willing?” is radically different from:
“Do I feel like it?”
“Am I motivated?”
“Am I ready?”
“Do I know exactly how?”
“Is this going to be easy?”
The question is simply:
AM I WILLING?
The chapter frames willingness as the doorway between wanting a different life and actually being prepared to do what that change requires.
I made a vow to myself: I am taking ownership of my life. I am examining my beliefs about money, getting honest about what I actually want, and asking myself whether I am willing to do what that life requires.

Choosing Sovereignty
Yesterday was Day 2. With no news to distract me, I was forced to look more closely at the person currently running this life—the one who is producing this life I am living right now. If I want to create different results, I need to become someone different.
This year, I chose sovereign as my word of the year. I can tell you: it is not a light crown to carry. I have never felt so challenged by a word before. Every time I hear it, it evokes an image of a woman who owns a castle and must make economic decisions because many people depend on her. Every money move she makes affects someone’s life. The energy of that word is powerful. It asks for responsibility, clarity, and courage.

A Grocery Store Reality Check
Yesterday, I went to the convenience store beside my condo and picked up eggs, chips, and bread. When the clerk rang up my items, I checked the screen and noticed that the price of a 12-pack of eggs had increased by almost $2.
Internally, my first reaction was: What the F… this is insane. But I caught myself in time. I reminded myself that prices may not go down, so my attention and energy need to be focused on earning more—not complaining about the economy or the government, which are outside my control.

We all have 24 hours in a day, and we get to decide how we spend them: what we focus on, what we take on, and what we refuse to give our energy to. Complaining about grocery prices or how expensive things are becoming is definitely not on my to-do list.

The 21-Day Abundance Challenge is on, and it is not too late to join. Come on—jump in.
PS: I went for a coffee run at Starbucks and got a free donut.

21-Day Abundance Challenge
In August, I spent a lot of time reflecting on my life and decided to reconnect with my dreams. To my surprise, it was difficult to sit down and write what I truly wanted. What came up first were all the things I did not want. So, I made a conscious decision to stop that train of thought at the root and ask myself one simple question: What do you want?

I stayed with that question for several days. Last week, I had an insight: I needed to immerse myself in a success and abundance plan for 21 days.

To learn a language, you immerse yourself in a place where that language is spoken. You surround yourself with the culture until the language begins to feel natural. I believe the same is true when you want to start producing different results in life: you have to be intentional, even radical, about what you allow into your mind.
For me, that means soaking my mind in the life I want to create, connecting with my desires at a deeper level, and practicing the thoughts, habits, and choices that support that vision. That is how I created this personal 21-Day Abundance Challenge.

The 7 Steps of My Challenge
1. Mind my thoughts.
2. Journal using one prompt only: What do you want?
3. Ban the news.
4. Condition my mind for success by reading a curated list of books and listening to selected podcasts, talks, and documentaries.
5. Mind my language.
6. Respond to life differently.
7. Prioritize self-care and walks, two things I often postpone even though I know they are good for me.

Day 1: Noticing My Default Setting
Yesterday was Day 1, and it was challenging. I avoided the news, even though the breaking-news headlines looked very tempting. It was hard, and I realized how addictive that habit had become. I love geopolitics, but my life cannot wait anymore.
Because I am paying closer attention to my thoughts and practicing being the observer of them, I noticed something: whenever I am doing a task that does not require much thinking or attention, the moment my brain gets free bandwidth, it seems to say:
“Excellent. Let me open the 2017–2025 archives.” 😭😂
Suddenly, it starts pulling out:
• that conversation
• that disappointment
• that person
• that decision
• the thing I wish I had said
• the moment I felt rejected
• that old injustice
• and somehow, the entire emotional soundtrack.
This has been valuable information because I have discovered my brain’s default setting.

When there is no immediate problem to solve, my mind does not automatically become peaceful or restful. Instead, it starts rehearsing familiar material.
And familiar does not always mean useful. My mind returns to painful memories simply because they are well-rehearsed pathways.

Giving My Mind Somewhere Better to Go
The goal is not to fight my brain. That would require too much energy. Instead of trying to eliminate those thoughts, I am experimenting with giving my brain somewhere else to go.
For example, during repetitive work, I can:
• 🎧 Listen to one of my selected audiobooks.
• 📖 Think through an idea for the magazine I am working on. I cannot wait to share this project with you.
• 💡 Let myself imagine my future life.
• 📝 Mentally explore my money goal.
• 🌍 Learn something I have been curious about.
• 🎶 Or simply listen to music and let my brain rest.

I am not my thoughts. I am the observer of my thoughts.

I am inviting you on this journey. If you are interested, you can leave me in the comment section.
PS: I was sending money through Western Union, and I got a free money transfer voucher.

Happy Monday, ladies! 🌿

I want to start your week with something that humbled me deeply on my own financial journey. I used to believe that keeping my word — no matter what — was the highest form of integrity. Until a real estate decision taught me otherwise.

Because sometimes the most principled thing you can do is change your mind.
Not because you are weak. Not because you are unreliable. But because you have new information. And honouring your future self is the highest commitment you will ever make.

My latest video explores:
• The hidden cost of letting integrity cloud financial judgment
• Why investor maturity means responding to facts not protecting past choices
• The most powerful sentence you can say — "I have new information. I am choosing differently now."

Because financial maturity is not about being right.
👉 It is about being responsive.
And before you start your week, grab your journal and ask yourself:
"Where in my financial life am I protecting a past decision out of identity rather than logic?"
Your future self is waiting for your honest answer. 🌿
Let's build this week with intention. 👑

Edit Your Inner World

Happy Monday, ladies! ✨

The only corner of the universe you can change is yours.

Think about how much energy we spend on corners that don't belong to us. Trying to change how a friend behaves. Trying to fix a family member who didn't ask to be fixed. Getting upset about the news, the economy, what she said, what he did. We stand in other people's corners with a broom, sweeping furiously — while our own corner sits untouched, collecting dust.

But here's the truth: you were given one corner. One mind to renew. One body to care for. One set of habits to build. One home to bring order to. One bank account to grow. One heart to guard. That is your corner of the universe — and it is the only place where you have full authority.

And here is the beautiful part: when you finally turn around and start tending your own corner, something shifts. Your corner starts to glow. And a corner that glows doesn't need to preach, doesn't need to convince, doesn't need to force anything on anyone. People see it. Light travels. Your corner touches the corners next to it — your children, your friends, your community — not because you lectured them, but because you became something in front of them.

That is how you change the world. Not by grabbing it and shaking it. By changing the one piece of it that was placed in your hands.

So, this Monday, I want you to come home to your corner. Ask yourself: where have I been sweeping someone else's floor while mine stays dusty? What is one thing in my corner — my thoughts, my money, my habits, my space — that I have full power to change this week?

Start there. Stay there. Watch what happens.
The only corner of the universe you can change is yours.
Pause, grab your journal, and write your next chapter.🌿
