Three things:
- Just finished designing visuals for LED screens at Broadway Does Punk by @MattCopley in NYC October 2nd and 3rd: abronsartscenter.org/programs/broadway-punk
- A week ago I uploaded a recording of me VJing for @2hollis at a festival in Romania in August - definitely a highlight from 2026. https://youtu.be/EDN5tQWp9lA
- And not long ago I contributed glitch FX to a music video called "summerpunk" from a Tokyo-based director: https://youtu.be/S4Uf-or_Y90
So just FYI I'm open to commissions and inquiries :) And don't hesitate to unsubscribe if you naively weren't expecting my channel to be a documentation of my journey. Ok back to the real world bye

Made my first 3D simulation thing in Houdini today, inspired by the monument I found in Kazakhstan in my last video. You can watch the Houdini overview video if you're a nerd like me here: https://youtu.be/dVvnGSFnM6c
Bonus info: I'll be VJing for @2hollis this Saturday at Summer Well - a festival in Romania. You can choose right now whether to believe me or not, but I'll sure damn try to record and upload a bit of it.

collecting auras... preparing... training... that's how you could describe my behavior lately...
semi-related thought: anyone here have experience with working in Houdini? I'm learning a lot with geometry nodes in Blender and by the end of this year I hope to learn something about Houdini too.
also, I'm really really enjoying the new @boardsofcanada album. I am both very pleased that they went in this direction after 13 years and I am also not at all surprised. I do wonder if the spiritual and existential current of Inferno will be lost on people. Only time will tell.

Less than a week since the Black Square video essay and it's already gotten many warm responses. I can't promise I'll make more videos like it, though the reaction is motivating!
I've just updated my portfolio website yovozol.com/ - there is a new tab dedicated to "artworks" - and all my commissions are presented in a more straightforward manner than is possible on YouTube or Instagram. If you want a more holistic picture of me, this is where to go. As of writing I am open to new work and design inquiries for this year.
For those curious I made my website using webflow.com
