Channel Update July 2026

I wanted to give an update on the channel since I am taking things in a slightly new direction moving forward. I have 3 new series planned for the next few months:

1.) MechaDrew Tries - I will continue this series and try out new and interesting games as they come out. This can be demos, early access, and sponsored content.

2.) Operation:Backlog - This is a series I have been looking at doing for a while now. If you are like me, you probably have a massive backlog of games (mostly on steam for me) that you have not had a chance to even try out. I thought it would be fun to start doing single episodes of games and trying them out. If a game from this series gets a lot of views or requests, I will consider making a full playthrough of the game. This will not be mecha game focused, but may include those types of games still.

3.) MechWarrior 5: Pure Vanilla - In this new series I am going to start a brand new from scratch (no importing) playthrough of the Career mode without any mods at all. We will go through the entire career mode including all released DLCs. This one goes out to all of the Mech fans on consoles or PCs that cannot handle mods. I thought it would be fun to see just what all we can do with what the game provides. I feel I tend to make the same builds over and over when I use mods and it makes things a little too easy.

Hey MechWarriors, it looks like we have a new DLC announced for MechWarrior 5: Clans coming out in December. I will definitely be playing this as soon as it is available so make sure to watch! Here are some of the new features the new campaign will have:

"A 20 mission military campaign. Field six new 'Mechs including the Ice Ferret, Linebacker, Naga, Incubus, Shadow Hawk IIC, and Bane, and wield the tactical power of Arrow IV and Artillery Strikes."

Channel Update!!

It has been a bit since I have done with these, but I thought it was a good time to give everyone an idea of where I plan to go with the channel. So now that the Shadow of Kerensky DLC playthrough is complete, I have run into a bit of a dilemma. Two out of the seven mods I used for my modded playthrough have not been updated yet. The ones missing include several variants that I use as well as weapons and equipment. I can either attempt to salvage the playthrough and fix whatever issues come up or wait until the modders are done with their updates. I have decided to wait.

Here is the current roadmap for what I am planning on playing on the channel the next couple months.

1.) MechWarrior 5: Arena - This will be a new playthrough using the base YAML mods (adding more when they are available) and focusing exclusively on Solaris arena-style missions. We're going to assume the role of a prize fighter and try to work our way up through the ranks.

2.) BattleTech Career Mode - This will continue, but with a small change. I am going to be shortening the videos to one mission per video, but release more videos. This works better with my workflow and availability. It is a lot harder for me to release longer videos due to my life career.

3.) Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 - I plan to continue this playthrough as I have time. The response for the first episode was pretty low, but it is something I have wanted to play. Hopefully it gets a little more love.

Additional Channel News!

I've created a new channel called MechaDrew Adventures, which I am actively working on creating content for. This channel is focused more on fantasy and adventure kind of games. If you enjoy these types of games, it would be great if you could sub and watch my other channel. Here are a few games I am planning on playing:

1.) Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles - I played the original a bunch when it came out and can't wait to play through a slightly modernized version of it.

2.) MegaBonk - I am a big fun of games like Brotato and Vampire Survivors so this 3D game is right up my alley.

3.) TBD - Not sure what will eventually go here, but would love suggestions. I don't play horror or souls-like games though!
