Have any of you played Hell Let Loose Vietnam yet?
I've been reading complaints about performance, and even accusations that it's a simple asset flip and little more than a DLC of the original HLL.
I was excited for a full rebuild from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5 to relive my battlefield vietnam days, I'll be majorly disappointed if it has the same old issues as the original HLL.
I'll try to take part in the next play test but I'm curious what you guys think.

Have you purchased a game in the Steam Summer Sale?
I tend to purchase one or two at the beginning of the sale....then I panic buy one or two more right at the end. No matter how hard I try I just can't help myself.
It's Bellwright and Anno 117: Pax Romana for me so far. What about you?

I've gotta admit, as I get older I find it difficult to get excited about new games.
But for the first time in a long time I'm genuinely excited for multiple games on the horizon. Mostly driven by Nostalgia:
- Fable
- Gears of War
- Halo Campaign Evolved
- Star Wars Zero Company
- GTA VI
- Alien Isolation 2 (watching others play!)
- Zelda OOT remake
A lot of Xbox for once, and a pleasing mixture of genres.
What are you looking forward to in the near, or not so near future?

Greetings bargain hunters - Hooded Horse has a publisher sale on Steam until 6th June. That means a tonne of quality strategy games on sale with obvious titles such as Manor Lords but what about less obvious choices?
Personally I'd recommend Norland, it's a quirky and fun Dwarf Fortress-esque colony sim. If you prefer 4X grand strategy then Old World is a fantastic game. But if you are simply looking for a bargain then Battle Brothers is the way to go, it's a gritty tactical RPG where you lead a mercenary company, and it's stood the test of time (released 2017).
I haven't had the capacity to create a full video on this so if you weren't aware of the sale, well now you are. And it you weren't sure what to look at, I hope the above is helpful. I enjoy helping people decide so just let me know if you have any questions on the games on sale and I'll do my best to help.
I'm playing through Nebulous Fleet Command at the moment but haven't played it long enough to form an opinion just yet. It's pretty cool so far though.
Which Hooded Horse titles are on your wish-list? It would be useful to know!

There's a Paradox Interactive Publisher sale on Steam with up to 90% off! Oh happy day! Which games or DLC are you considering purchasing?
My first time playing Hearts of Iron 4, Crusader Kings 3 and Stellaris were moments to remember. I'm considering Victoria 3 but I'm not sure it's quite ready yet...perhaps a CK3 DLC would be a better option as I don't have any of those at the moment. Decisions Decisions! Advice would be very much welcomed....

Ixion is an underrated strategy game with an engaging story, so it's fortunate there's a 60% discount for the next week!
If you like the idea of overseeing an expanding space station that's the last hope for humanity as it staggers from one system to the next I suggest you check it out :)

Anno 1800 has a 90% discount on Steam until March 13th. That is CRAZY good value for a game that in my opinion is so well put together, even gamers who aren't interested in city building / economy focussed games will still enjoy it. What a treat! 🚀
