Hikaru Nakamura obviously understands the nature of existence.
Imagine with me for a moment. Countless little events across time. Farmers planting seeds, weather patterns, supply chains, that one truck driver who was running late last Thursday. All perfectly aligning so that a beautiful radish ends up in someone’s hand, simply for 89 yen.
It's silly, yet profound. Real Zen is often both at once.
Alan Watts talked about this kind of thing with the idea of the Web of Life. Everything is connected. Everything is interdependent. Buying and selling, inside and outside, all dancing together in one big cosmic transaction. No buyer without a seller. No daikon without the whole universe behind it.
@akirathedon captures this vibe perfectly in his track from the WATTSWAVE series. Check it out here if you get a chance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc_S_...
Sometimes the universe delivers enlightenment. Sometimes it delivers a perfectly priced vegetable. And honestly? Both are essential.
So the next time you're grabbing something ordinary at the store, maybe take a second to notice how everything has lined up ((perfectly)) for that little occasion. With enough practice you might find that life is full of these tiny, ridiculous miracles.
If you feel like sharing your story about some wonderfully mundane thing you noticed the universe align for you, I promise I'll read it with an open mind and grateful heart.
Be well, Everyone.
Peace.
