Hey - I messed up.

For my ModRetro M64 video, a lot of you mentioned that the reason my gameplay image was so washed out was because of the default horizontal bloom setting on the M64 being super high. You were correct. I am going to update this in a future video. Once this is adjusted, the gameplay image is much better. Better than the Analogue? I still think the ModRetro has a ways to go. But it is not as bad as the video shows.

My user error shouldn't be responsible for people's opinions. The last thing I want to do is spread misinformation. My plan is to redo the video - I also noticed a few additional things that the video didn't cover so it will still feel pretty fresh.

I know that not everyone can ask for a do-over, but this is what I think is the right thing to do. I apologize for my error and appreciate how the community corrected my mistake. I hope you enjoy the new upload, which I hope to post by Monday.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to watch the latest upload - it's rad seeing everyone's enthusiastic conversation, debate, and helpful correction.

I plan to do a follow up video on this in the next week or so to try out the recommended alternate setting for the M64 (Please recommend what you think is best!), correct some pieces of half true information (the controller compatibility), and more.

More than anything, it's super fun seeing such spirited discussion around a game library and modern tech that holds some of my favorite memories.
