Since September 2011, this channel has been an unpredictable, unfiltered, idiosyncratic medley of art, comedy, nature, philosophy, absurdism, ASMR, and most importantly, authenticity. I'm free to do as I please here, just like how I live my life, and hopefully, how you live yours.

And since mid-October 2025, when I was 54, I finally embraced the writer I should've been since a teen. Aside from being a husband and father (to a son), writing (my 1st of at least 3 books) is my true calling and passion. This channel is now 2nd fiddle to that, and is a reflection of who I am: a free thinker, multipotentialite, eclectic, artist, actor/performer, angler, naturalist, humorist, dadaist, foodie, writer (editor/typesetter/typographer/proofreader), neologist ("Good Now", "Splentastic", etc), world builder, photographer, audio/video editor, PC builder, anarchist, and more: ephemeralrift.com/about/

I just realized I’ve organically conceived approximately 250 entirely original and unique concepts (places, creatures, names, etc.) since I started writing this book back in October 2025 (and which has since become a meta-fictional, absurdist, satirical horror journey through the New Weird, Bizarro and Splatterpunk).

For those of you who love lore, this project appears to be far denser than the entirety of the Thalmultaria universe on my channel:

~53 Specimens: Various █████-████ ████████ ████████████ and ████████ ████████ ███████████.

~40 Entities & Personas: Distinctly named inhabitants.

~29 Arcane Disciplines: Metaphysical systems used to achieve various results.

~23 Species & Creatures: Assorted (biological?) organisms.

~20 Cosmic Laws & Jurisprudence: Regulatory acts and structures that maintain order.

~19 Places & Cosmic Locations: Specific zones, many with their own properties.

~18 Tools & Devices: Specialized hardware and tech.

~16 In-Universe Media: Various literature and other works.

~14 Elements & Physical States: Unique materials and energy sources.

~12 Linguistic & Measurement Systems: Terminology and numerical frameworks.

~8 Foods & Consumables: Dietary items consumed by the various inhabitants.

Non-unique References: ~80 (Artists, Music, Pop Culture, Thalmultaria cameos, etc.)

The manuscript has grown into something bigger than the simple anthology I originally had planned. Again, I’m getting closer day by day to the finish line, and hope to have it out by October, or December at the latest, as this will by my first attempt at self-publishing.
