“At the end of the oak street” and “primitive war” are easily considered the best modern dinosaur movies (eat your heart out Jurassic world)

(⚠️Spoiler alert for my review on at the end oak street movie⚠️)


And for those who are questioning, yes I did recently watched at the end of oak street and I gotta admit that I was impressed by the film due to how actually well made it is due to the fact that it’s easily effective and entertaining along that it features some great cast of characters, it has some well executed humour, the visual effects on the dinosaurs especially the cgi are actually very good and do blend with their surroundings and atmosphere and what I do praise about the movie even more is that the characters dont have plot armor and can easily get themselves killed by the dinosaurs instead of having constant plot armor like the overrated Jurassic world movies constantly used that gets old fast, which no wonder that it makes the film very effective and engaging from start to finish and the movie did a good job of having the balls to do that, though I do admit that the film has its flaws compare to primitive war like the questionable writing that can be convoluted like that lack of the explanation of the portal that cames out of nowhere and the fact that the characters at times make dumb decisions that easily gets themselves attacked but despite these flaws, the movie is still great and effective and its no wonder that it’s one of my favorite dinosaur movies of the modern age alongside primitive war

Just recently finished reading George Orwell’s 1949 dystopian novel “1984” (⚠️spoilers for those who haven’t read it⚠️)

And I do gotta admit that after finishing this novel especially for comparing this book to his other well known work “animal farm”, I do personally find this novel to be a very disturbing, depressing and pessimistic reading experience from start to finish due to its darker themes of authoritarianism and political corruption and for featuring a lot of disturbing moments that are still effective and disturbing to read through especially that it’s a easily a though provoking and emotional experience of how some individuals like winston and Julia tried to escape the regime only for them to be sent back into hell as soon as they got arrested and got tortured at the end by O Brien and worst yet “brainwashed”.

And in terms of comparing the two well known works of George Orwell like animal farm and 1984, as much as I love animal farm for it’s simplistic yet relatable narrative of being a satire of the Russian revolution and the rise of communism but I feel like 1984 definitely takes the win for me due to the fact that it’s a lot more fascinating and interesting due to its interesting world building and lore and for exploring the dark themes of authoritarianism and manipulation and for following two individuals that got caught up in the crossfire and how they must live and survive in an alternate reality of our world and besides considering that we have like political leaders who have strong cult of personalities like Donald trump, Vladimir Putin, xi Jinping and Kim Jong un, this book definitely predicted our future due to the political corruption we are now dealing especially that the three main countries like the United States, Russia and china are like the real equivalent to the fictional authoritarian empires that we read in the book like Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia, this goes to show that George Orwell definitely predicted our fates about our dark path.

And I feel like these two books definitely made me appreciate George Orwell as a writer and he’s now one of my favorites alongside Stephen king and hell even the master of terror praised Orwell.

Overall, “1984” is definitely a relatable and disturbing classic due to its depressing vibe of a dystopian society and political corruption and for being a very relatable story that still feels effective to this very day
