Flooding Chaos in Sa Kaeo: Four Crocodiles on the Loose as Villagers Scramble Up Trees
Sa Kaeo province is dealing with a wild situation right now as severe flooding continues to swamp the area, and as if rising water wasn't enough, four crocodiles, each roughly two meters long, have reportedly escaped and been spotted near Golden Place Nava Farm in Khao Chakan district's Moo 6 area.
Understandably, residents who came across the crocodiles didn't stick around to say hello, several fled straight up trees to get away from them, and there are reports that some of the crocodiles ended up stuck in branches themselves while trying to escape the floodwaters. Rescue workers have since been alerted and are now working with local officials to search the area and figure out where the animals are, all while making sure nearby residents stay safe.
Authorities are urging everyone in the area to steer clear of the water for now, keep their distance from the farm area, and, importantly, not attempt to catch or chase the crocodiles themselves until officials confirm the area is secure.
On top of the crocodile scare, the flooding itself remains a serious problem, with high water levels making several major roads impassable. The Sa Kaeo (Wattanakhon) Highway District has issued warnings covering multiple routes, including sections of Highway 33 near Phra Prong–Non Chik and the Thai-Cambodian border crossing at Aranyaprathet, Highway 359 between Sarakhwan and Khao Maka, Highway 3462 near Sa Kaeo–Sae O, and Highway 3366 around Tha Kham–Non Sao Ae. Some of these stretches are completely closed to all vehicles in both directions, while others remain risky for smaller cars.
If you're in or heading toward Sa Kaeo, please avoid driving through flooded roads or strong currents, and keep an eye on updates from local authorities. Between the water and the wildlife, it's best to play it safe out there. Time to Stay Out the Water Be Safe People and it is just AI Am not Mad lol
