With our shared backgrounds in film and archaeology, we look back on our favorite Generation X cartoons critically and discuss the good and bad, without pulling any punches. Able to laugh at things you love? This is the place for you!
We are vintage toy collectors, and maintain a large archive of vintage and sometimes rare toys. We perform restoration of these toys in order to preserve both history and treasured childhood keepsakes, not to sell them for profit.

Rumours of this channel's death have been greatly exaggerated. Sorry I've been away for a bit. It wasn't a hiatus. It wasn't a health scare. I was raising money for a life goal trip to Egypt with a historian I greatly admire. I'm not wealthy and I don't beg for money for luxuries (or ever), so I was selling material possessions throughout most of 2025 and my video output lowered for a while as a result of my focus on listing, selling, and shipping. I made the goal, I went to Egypt. I'm back now and working on videos again as always.
The RetroBlasting Patreon has received a number of updates along these lines. But just to summarize here - The big McFarlane Super Powers Postmortem is in production, there's a video about a very special playset that's also on the way, I'm working on a video about the Toei Spider-Man series of the 1970s, the next Star Wars Follies is in development, and based on demand from patrons and friends, a video about my visit to Egypt is also forthcoming.
And a number of you have asked if there's more Indiana Jones content on the way. I have a few things I'm mulling, but not necessarily in the immediate future. However, a number of videos about "Indy-adjacent" topics are in the hopper, as well as quite a few retro subjects the channel hasn't yet discussed that some of you have been waiting on, I expect. Thanks for your continued support of this channel through your viewership, your enthusiasm, your interest, and your inquiries. And with that, settle in for a fun 2026 on this channel. - Michael
