Many of us have had moments of overexplaining. Getting to the bottom of why is important, because most of time we don’t need more words to get our point(s) across. Recognizing signals can be very valuable. No hype. Just orientation.

< Signal Check > There are many highly capable adults with ADHD that tend to reopen decisions long after they’re made.A very common occurrence, and for some, a very unsettling one. Signal Check: Conversation and Situation ReplayAfter a conversation or situation ends…Does your mind keep revisiting the moment?“How did I sound?”“Should I have said that differently?”“Was my tone too harsh?”The friction usually doesn’t come from the conversation/situation itself. It’s the mind stuck in the decision loop. The conscious decision to close the loop and move forward is imperative. Where do you feel least steady right now?
I like to have ADHD conversations beyond coping.More specifically, stability and control. Whether it be emotional control, decision, control or capacity. Leading ourselves effectively starts with structure. That’s how consistency happens. I’m formalizing these weekly Signal Checks into something more structured. No hype. Just structure. Built for growth.More soon.

I’ve been talking about this topic a lot lately:
When “Pushing Harder” actually makes things worse.
For example, if something already feels “off”
but instead of pausing or creating space, you push harder.
That’s usually where things start to break down.
It can show up as:
• burnout / isolation
• overthinking
• starting and stopping
Pushing harder isn’t always the issue.
Ignoring the behavioral signal is.
Make sure you’re not consistently overriding something that’s telling you to step back.
👉 Right now, what is showing up more for you?

Signal Check: Conversation and Situation Replay
After a conversation or situation ends…
Does your mind keep revisiting the moment?
“How did I sound?”
“Should I have said that differently?”
“Was my tone too harsh?”
The friction usually doesn’t come from the conversation/situation itself.
It’s the mind stuck in the decision loop.
The conscious decision to close the loop and move forward is imperative.
That’s steadiness.
