RIP Child Gilbert of New Found Glory

I've written like half a dozen different versions of this but I think at the end of the day I'll keep it simple.

Chad's music changed my life two different times. At age 12 when I heard the Self Titled NFG record and then again at 16 when I heard Shai Hulud's Hearts Once Nourished With Hope and Compassion. I even had him listed under my "Heroes" section on MySpace back in the day, he will be missed.

RIP Andy Williams of Every Time I Die AKA The Butcher from AEW.

ETID played the first hardcore/metalcore show I ever went to and I was lucky enough to meet Andy a bunch as a teenager seeing them and he was always the nicest dude in the world, even when my friends and I were being annoying punishers.

If you're into aggressive guitar music in any way/shape/form I'm sure your social media feeds have been filled with tributes to Andy and there's a reason for that, he was as special as they say, even to those of us who only ever met him in passing as a fan.

My views in July were down 60% compared to June, so clearly I wasn't hitting the mark with the movies I was covering, so I'm switching things up with videos on Perfect Blue and True Lies coming sooner than you'd think. ICYMI - New video on A Kid in King Arthur's Court is up now! I've been threatening to make this one for awhile and had a great time revisiting it!

Next Thursday we'll be looking at House Arrest and then after that I'm not sure it'll either be a 90's horror miniseries, a 90s video game adaptation, or a big awesome action movie...from the 90s
