There’s something I think needs to be said about Billy and Jo Smith.

People are absolutely allowed to disagree with things they said about Elvis. You can believe certain stories should have stayed private. You can question their recollections. You can fact-check them.

What I don’t think is fair is turning opinion into history and saying they “sold Elvis out,” or claiming that is why Lisa Marie stopped associating with them when, as far as I have found, there is no solid proof establishing that.

Billy was not some random person who appeared after Elvis became famous.

He was family.

Billy and Elvis were first cousins. They grew up together in Tupelo. Their families moved to Memphis, and Billy was there long before Graceland, Hollywood, Vegas, or the term “Memphis Mafia” ever existed.

Yes, Billy was part of Elvis’s inner circle.

But he was family before he was Memphis Mafia.

And most importantly, Elvis himself chose to keep Billy and Jo close. They were still with Elvis during the final hours of his life.

That does not mean Billy and Jo were always right. It does not mean every story they told should automatically be accepted as fact.

But it also does not mean they did not love Elvis.

And before judging them, put it into your own life.

Imagine growing up with a cousin, sharing decades of memories, seeing them at their best and worst, and then after they die, strangers who never knew either of you start saying:

“You never really loved them.”
“You sold them out.”
“You were only after money.”

How would you feel?

None of us would want strangers deciding what our family relationships meant.

So why do we do it to theirs?

Disagree with Billy and Jo.

Question them.

Fact-check them.

But don’t retroactively erase a relationship that Elvis himself chose to maintain.

Evidence matters. Sources matter. Context matters. But humanity matters too.

And loving Elvis has never required pretending he was perfect.

😂⚡️ **ELVIS POLL OF THE DAY** ⚡️😂

Elvis calls you at **2:47 AM** and says, “Get dressed. We’re leaving.”

What are you hoping he means?

- ✈️ **Random flight on the Lisa Marie**
- 🍔 **Midnight food run with way too much food**
- 🚗 **Drive around Memphis with absolutely no destination**
- 🛍️ **Emergency shopping spree because apparently 3 AM is normal**

I’m going to say this because I’m genuinely pissed off.

Not everything has to become political.

I made a post wishing Jimmy Carter a happy heavenly birthday. That was it. It was a post recognizing a man who happened to serve as President of the United States and who had a connection to Elvis.

And somehow somebody still felt the need to jump into the comments with, “Carter was a terrible president, only outshined by Biden.”

Seriously?

What does that have to do with anything I posted?

I wasn’t asking you to vote for Jimmy Carter. I wasn’t debating his presidency. I wasn’t talking about Democrats, Republicans, Biden, Trump, elections, or politics at all.

It was a birthday remembrance on an Elvis page.

We have gotten to this ridiculous point where some people apparently cannot see the name of a president—past or present—without immediately turning it into a political argument.

Enough.

You are allowed to recognize somebody’s life, history, humanity, or connection to Elvis without turning the comments section into CNN versus Fox News.

There are a million places on the internet where you can fight about politics.

The EP Vault does not need to be one of them.

If I post something political, then fine—discuss the politics.

But if I post an Elvis-related remembrance, keep the political bullshit out of it.

It really shouldn’t be that difficult.

📺 THE EP VAULT — NEW PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE

We’re giving the channel a little more structure, and I’m really excited about where we’re going.

🔥 MONDAY — ELVIS CONSPIRACY
We’ll be going chapter-by-chapter through The Elvis Conspiracy, checking the claims, comparing them with the historical record, and separating documented fact from speculation.

🔎 WEDNESDAY — RELATED DEEP DIVE
A companion episode connected to that week’s subject — giving us room to dig deeper into the people, documents, events, and unanswered questions surrounding Elvis.

🎙️ FRIDAY — FRIDAY Q&A
Your comments. Your questions. Elvis discussion. This is where we get to slow down, talk about what we’ve covered during the week, and tackle the things you want to know.

So going forward, expect new videos every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday right here on The EP Vault.

And yes… there is also some exclusive members-only programming coming. 👀🔐
I’ll have a separate announcement about that very soon.

Thank you for continuing to watch, comment, share, and support what we’re building here. We’ve got a LOT to talk about.

Which of these are you most excited for — Monday, Wednesday, or Friday? 👇

🎂✨ HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY, STELLA STEVENS ✨🎂

Today we remember the beautiful and talented Stella Stevens, born on October 1, 1938.

Elvis fans will always remember Stella as Robin Gant in the 1962 film Girls! Girls! Girls!, where she shared the screen with Elvis Presley during one of the most memorable periods of his Hollywood career. 🎬⚓️

Stella went on to enjoy a long and successful career in film and television, but she will always hold a special place in Elvis movie history.

She passed away in 2023 at the age of 84, but her work continues to entertain generations of fans.

💙 Happy Heavenly Birthday, Stella Stevens. Thank you for the memories.

Who remembers Stella in Girls! Girls! Girls!? 🌺🎶

😂✈️ ELVIS POLL OF THE DAY ✈️😂

It’s 3 AM and Elvis suddenly decides you’re both taking The Lisa Marie to a random city.

Where are you waking up?

* 🌴 Las Vegas for breakfast and bad decisions
* 🎰 Lake Tahoe because apparently sleep is overrated
* 🌆 New York City for a 6 AM sandwich and total chaos
* 🏔️ Denver because Elvis just decided, “We’re going to Denver.”
