🏍️ The final part of ESCAPE TO THE SEA is now live.

After 3 days of mountain roads, Slovenia, Koper, Trieste, the sea and a Vespa meeting, there was only one thing left to do...

Get home.

And that meant 725 km in one day - the longest distance I had ever covered on a motorcycle.

The route still had some great roads through Italy, Slovenia and Austria, including Lago del Predil and Wurzen Pass, before the final long highway stretch back to Czechia.

This is the end of the 4-part journey.

4 days. 4 countries. Around 1,600 km.

Thanks to everyone who followed the whole trip from the beginning. ❤️

🎬 ESCAPE TO THE SEA #4 - 725 KM HOME

And now I want to know:
What is the longest distance you have ever ridden in a single day?

🌊 ESCAPE TO THE SEA #3 is now live!

After two days on the road, we finally reached the part of the trip we had been looking forward to most.

A day by the sea in Koper, a walk through Trieste, some proper Italian atmosphere... and in the evening, a local Vespa meeting. 🇸🇮🇮🇹

And there was one small moment that made the day even more special for me - finding a Pragovespa sticker there, from a Vespa meeting I helped organize years ago.

Sometimes the best parts of a trip are the ones you do not plan.

🎬 ESCAPE TO THE SEA #3 - Koper, Trieste & Vespa Night

If you had one free day on this coast, would you spend it on the beach, exploring Trieste, or at the Vespa meeting? 😁

Day 2 was probably the most scenic part of the whole trip.

We left Murau, crossed Turracher Höhe and Wurzen Pass, entered Slovenia near Kranjska Gora, rode over the incredible Vršič Pass, continued through the Soča Valley and Bovec, and finally reached Koper and the sea.

Mountains, narrow roads, beautiful valleys, almost constant scenery... this was exactly the kind of day we came for.

And tell me in the comments:
Vršič Pass or Soča Valley - which one would you rather ride?

New PETROLHEAD.net stickers have arrived. 👀

They are not for sale... at least not for now.

For the moment, they have one simple mission - to travel with me and leave a small PETROLHEAD.net trace on some of the great mountain passes, biker spots and special places I visit along the way. 🏔️🏍️

Maybe one day you will spot one somewhere in the Alps.

🏍️ New video is live - ESCAPE TO THE SEA #1 - The Road South

This was the first day of our 4-day, 4-country, 1,600 km motorcycle trip.

We left Prague, crossed South Bohemia, entered Austria near Vyšší Brod and slowly swapped faster roads for smaller, more interesting ones. The best part came near the end of the day - Sölk Pass, before finally reaching Murau for the night.

This is just the beginning. Slovenia, the sea, Trieste and a Vespa meeting are still ahead.

🎬 Watch Part 1 now and let me know in the comments:
What is your favorite road or mountain pass in Austria?

New video is live! 🏍️🇦🇹

This time I’m riding the Sölk Pass in Austria - a quiet, narrow Alpine road with great scenery, plenty of bends and almost no traffic.

Well... almost. 🐄😄

If you like lesser-known mountain passes away from the big tourist routes, this one is definitely worth a look.

Would you rather ride an empty famous pass, or discover roads like this that almost nobody talks about?

New look for PETROLHEAD.net! 👀

The channel has changed quite a lot over time. What started as a place for cars, bikes and all kinds of petrolhead stuff has naturally moved more towards motorcycles, road trips, mountain passes, great roads and the freedom of riding.

So I thought the logo should evolve too.

The pistons stay, but now they are joined by the mountains that have become such a big part of this channel. And with the new look comes a new motto:

Ride the Road. Feel the World.

What do you think about the new logo? Better than the old one, or should I have left it alone? 😄

Last week I finally got out for a proper ride. 🏍️🌊

4 days. 4 countries. A few mountain passes. One Vespa gathering. And eventually... the sea.

Plenty of great roads, views and moments along the way. I’m already working on the video, so stay tuned. 🎬

Would you rather spend 4 days riding in the mountains, or head straight for the coast?

🏍️ 14 mountain passes. 🇨🇭 Switzerland. 🇮🇹 Italy.

I put together the best moments from this year’s motorcycle trip to the Alps - no highways, no boring transfers, just great roads, endless corners and some seriously breathtaking views.

The new video is live now. ⛰️

If you could ride just ONE Alpine pass tomorrow, which one would you choose?

Time for a ride! 🏍️

I haven’t had many chances to get out on the bike lately, so I’m really looking forward to today’s ride with a friend.

It got me wondering - how often do you actually manage to go on rides (not counting your daily commute)?

I’m especially curious to hear from riders with small kids. How do you find the time? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
