This student went up almost 400 MMR since joining.

Hord joined at 1110 MMR (Champ 1 Div 2) on February 28th. He'd just come off a long break from the game and was pretty rusty, so he figured coaching was the fastest way back in. I gave him 2 sessions, and within a month he was already at 1221 MMR (C2 Div 2).

Once he hit C2, it was obvious his game sense was already champ level, his mechanics just weren't there yet. So we spent 6 sessions over 3 months closing that gap, and he peaked at 1320 MMR (C3 Div 1) by May 25th.

Time to fix the mechanics.

I gave him the Elite Club training packs and told him to send clips in my DMs whenever he wanted feedback on something specific.

Over June and July, he picked up flip resets, ground-to-air dribbles, and started learning corner touch air dribbles too. Early August, it all started showing up in his games.

We hopped back into 1-on-1s, and he finally had the mechanics to match the game sense we'd built up earlier. After that, it was just him grinding ranked.

On August 21st, he broke into GC1, peaking at 1510 MMR (Grand Champ 1 Div 2). 1110 -> 1510 in under half a year, and he skipped the hardstuck champ phase basically everyone goes through. I was stuck in champ for 4 years myself; I wish I had this kind of coaching back then. :sob:

What the Elite Club gave him:

- 1 on 1 coaching to build the right game sense habits
- DM support whenever he needed mechanics feedback
- Training packs with video tutorials to grind mechanics on his own

Update: spots dropped from 22/80 to 16/80 since last post.

All tiers are moving:

Elite: 9 left (previously at 11)
Elite+ : 3 left (previously at 4)
Elite Max: 4 left (previously at 7)

Brill was stuck at C3-GC1 for a full year, peaking at low GC2.

He joined the elite club on July 20th at 1583 MMR (GC2 Div 1) sponsored by his friend Mazarine, after seeing how much Mazarine's own gameplay had improved.

In his coaching sessions, he learned when, where, and how to rotate, along with some minor changes in his gameplay that compound to make a massive impact. On the mechanical side, I worked with him on wall recoveries through my training pack, plus a refined air dribble technique that barely gets talked about.

After applying what he learned to his gameplay, he hit GC3 just two weeks later. Smashing through the GC2 wall that's basically the biggest hardstuck point on the road to SSL.

A couple of days later, he peaked at 1782 on August 11th (GC3 Div 2)

That's a 200 MMR improvement in a little over 2 weeks from
1582 (GC2 Div 1) -> 1782 (GC3 Div 2).

So many people have the wrong idea about boost management.

They believe holding onto and hoarding their boost is the best way to play the game. However, it's more about maintaining your momentum rather than maintaining your boost. Using your boost to get where you need to be, when you need to be there, is what actually wins games. That means learning pad routes that keep you moving without killing your speed.

My student Moonsoak had trouble actually using his boost to get to spots on the field where he needed to be. This ended up making him not involved in the play to maintain pressure in their half of the field.

After showing him this tip and actionable steps to correct it he ended up going up 300+ MMR from:

1324 (C3 Div 1) โ†’ 1643 (GC2 Div 3)

The Elite Club has two coaches. Here's why that matters.

Void started at Diamond 2. After just one month of 1:1 coaching with me, he jumped 280+ MMR:

910 (D2 Div 1) โ†’ 1195 (C2 Div 1)

Then Tyzuko stepped in by adding pro-level fundamentals on top of the foundation already built. The result was an immediate 290+ MMR jump under a week:

1195 (C2 Div 1) โ†’ 1486 (GC1 Div 2)

That's 580+ MMR in a single journey.
One coach fixes your mistakes. Two coaches build a complete player.

Coaching works for every rank.

Many people say that those in the bronze-plat region just need more playing time to learn the game. However, getting a coach early on in that formative phase is crucial for the following reasons:

- stop bad habits before they form
- learn mechanics the right way from the beginning
- understand how to apply mechanics in-game
- learn and apply correct rotations
- eliminate trial and error

My student ShadowKnight joined coaching at 804 MMR (Plat 3 Div3) on April 3rd

After a coaching session, he hit Diamond 2 920MMR on May 1st

After that month, the correct framework for how to play the game correctly was established. He received another coaching session on May 7th. After that, his rank shot up 300+ MMR from diamond 2 to champ 2.

In total, he went up 400+ MMR from Plat 3 all the way to Champ 2

804 (P3 Div 3) -> 1205 MMR (C2 Div 1)

The players who improve the fastest aren't the most talented. They're the ones who learned the correct framework early.

That's what the Elite Club does. Get access to two SSL/RLCS-level coaches here:

Be intentional in your games. Always go into the game with at least one thing which you are consciously trying to improve on for that game. This could include a minor rotation correction, tweaking your demo timing, or a mechanical change. If you go into comp and autopilot without being conscious, then how can you expect to improve?

Something which you can do right now is to list the 3 most common errors in your gameplay and focus on them in ranked for the session.

My student didn't rank up right away after coaching because he wasnโ€™t intentional with his gameplay. 2 Weeks after our first session, he was still making the same mistakes we caught earlier. In the last session a couple of days ago, I told him to list the three things we pointed out in the replay analysis and intentionally work on them going forward. Right away, he went up nearly 300 MMR.

Void went up 280+ MMR in 1 Month
910 (D2 Div 1) โ†’ 1195 (C2 Div 1)

Hiring a coach gives you an outside, higher-level perspective to identify the mistakes youโ€™ve been repeating in every single game.
