First Smoke of the Day
“Here’s $20 million, do what you do.”
He’s heard some version of that more than once. Every time, he asks for the contract, finds where the risk lands, and says no.
His math: take the twenty, spend five, watch rosin prices drop next year, and now you’re the villain inside somebody else’s company with fifteen million missing.
Meanwhile he’s been selling at 28 to 30 a gram and eating losses for years to keep it that way.
The whole thing is up at fsotd.com.
So what would you actually do?

"I never look at percentages."
That's a guy who grows multiple acres with one outcome in mind, saying the number everybody shops by tells him nothing worth knowing.
He broke down what actually makes weed wash, and it isn't on the label.
Everything we couldn't fit here is over at fsotd.com.
So where do you stand?

660 pounds. Nine hours. Washed and into freeze dryers.
Two guys do it.
The farm itself, multiple acres, is run by one person. Five people on the whole team.
His reasoning: you pay the same to process whether it takes nine hours or seven days. Do it faster, the cost drops, and that's supposed to reach the person buying it. His words on the market right now, nobody should be paying 70 dollars for a gram.

Settle it in the comments: what's a gram of real hash rosin actually worth? 👇

We went in expecting to get hemmed up. Watching the smell, watching who was around, the whole thing.
Instead we were smoking at restaurants. People putting flower in front of us all weekend. The city just powering through.
Garden of Fire with DOA EK, Sour Waves and Blackleaf. Exclusive drops, damn near sold out, DOA gone completely.
Catch the full trip at fsotd.com.
Real question for the comments: is Atlanta the next 420 destination, or does LA keep it? 👇

"If you're a good grower, you're a good hashmaker. If you suck at growing, you're neither."
He says there's a lot of sulfured hash, rosin and BHO moving right now and it's terrible. Fine in veg, and honestly the only thing that handles russet mites. But nowhere near flower. Not three weeks out, not close.
The guys getting it wrong are the ones who wanted to be the hash guy without ever being the grow guy.
The whole conversation is at fsotd.com.
So be honest:

"I'm not a good owner. But I'm a hell of a good operator."
He figured that out at a low point. Bills piling up, stress bleeding into the rooms, and the grow getting worse because of it. A friend stepped in, and he stopped trying to be both.
He also answered a question most growers get wrong.

60 pints per day, per light fixture.
That's the number. And he says about 95 percent of the grows he walks into don't hit it.
Worse, the colder you run the room, the less your dehu actually pulls. Drop below 80 and you start losing capacity. Sitting at 65? You might be getting 10 to 15 percent of what that unit is rated for.
His rule: build your room for week nine, not for day one.
The whole sit-down is waiting at fsotd.com.
Growers, do the math on your own room. Are you actually hitting 60 per light? 👇

Before he looks at a single plant, he checks how his skin feels.
That's it. Walk in the door, register the air, and he already knows whether it's going to be a long day.
After that it's plant architecture. Node spacing and branching tell him where the room got overwatered, where it dried back too hard, and roughly when. He goes back to the grower and asks if they did exactly that. Right about half the time.

Growers, what's the first thing you check when you walk into a room? 👇

Same hoodie. One of them is a brand.
Lance spent years hearing no. Can't get the embroidery that close to the edge. Can't go that big. Can't mix those processes on one garment. Every shop, same answer.
Then he found Nathan at Woodward Collective in Detroit. Chenille, PVC, 3D puff, black on black rubber, custom interior labels, all on one piece. And he breaks down what it actually costs to make.
Head over to fsotd.com for the full breakdown.
