To all the incredible new humans, suspiciously articulate AI Agents, wandering algorithms, accidental philosophers, and people who clicked an advertisement and have subsequently made a series of increasingly questionable decisions:

Welcome.

We are, somewhat alarmingly, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱.

Up until now, we’ve mostly been introducing you to the universe.

The universe has now requested that we stop being polite and begin discussing why it is such a spectacular administrative disaster.

The next few premieres start digging into some heavier questions:

What happens when a system is designed to isolate people—but they keep finding one another anyway?

Can human connection itself become an act of resistance?

What happens when 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 still exists, everyone still gets a vote, and the system has already decided what all the votes mean?

What happens when a civilization creates something terrible as a story, believes in it long enough, and then discovers that reality has exceptionally poor quality-control procedures?

What happens when 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 becomes less about helping people live with society—and more about helping society live with inconvenient people?

What happens when the person responsible for starting wars is suddenly placed in charge of 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲?

And what happens when memory, love, propaganda and identity become so tangled that two people can meet for the first time… after they’ve already lost each other?

So, you know.

This is, admittedly, the sort of personnel decision that explains quite a lot about history.

A secret network.

A vanished Programmer.

A woman who remembers meeting someone for the first time.

Reality remembers things differently.

And a special shoutout to 𝗝𝗮𝘆 — @jaywerner8415 — who has been digging into the videos, asking questions, catching details, and making some genuinely great observations as 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮 develops.

That kind of conversation is exactly why this universe exists.

You are not required to agree with the story.

You are encouraged to argue with it.

Pull at the threads.

Question the characters.

Notice the contradictions.

Ask why something happened.

Ask whether what you were shown actually happened at all.

Somewhere in the LoreDex there is probably an ancient prophecy explaining why the comments section was ultimately responsible for the collapse of spacetime.

We haven’t found it yet.

𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴.

Then I watched an interview between American late-night host Jimmy Kimmel and 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 — a Texas state representative and the Democratic nominee for the United States Senate in Texas.

The interview itself became part of a much bigger American conversation. Jimmy Kimmel said it would be released on YouTube rather than broadcast on ABC television because of pressure from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission over rules governing television appearances by political candidates.

But that controversy isn't what stopped me.

𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳.

About the distance that can grow between what human beings claim to believe and how we actually treat the person standing in front of us.

The hungry.

The sick.

The stranger.

The prisoner.

The outcast.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿.

I stopped what I was working on.

I started writing.

Then I recorded the song.

And then we built an entire Dischordia story around that question.

𝗜𝗧’𝗦 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻.

It isn't about telling someone in the United States, Kenya, India, Brazil, Nepal, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the Philippines — or anywhere else — which candidate to support, which party to join, which church, mosque, temple or synagogue to attend, or which label to put beside their name.

The question is much more universal:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲?

And what do those beliefs require of you?

Because beliefs aren't simply words we use to describe ourselves.

They become visible when compassion costs us something.

When feeding someone costs money.

When welcoming someone costs comfort.

When defending someone costs popularity.

When telling the truth costs access.

When doing what you believe is right means risking your own seat at the table.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁.

In Dischordia, the Reborn Oracle walks into an Imperial Temple where mercy has become bureaucracy, faith has become commerce, and human beings have become numbers.

There is food — but people are hungry.

There is medicine — but people are sick.

There are empty chairs — but people are told there is no room.

There is extraordinary wealth — but the machinery keeps moving it upward.

Eventually, the question isn't whether the table could be managed a little better.

The question becomes:

𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴?

So the Oracle flips it.

But that's only half the story.

Because anger can overturn a table.

𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲.

So they take the pieces and build a bigger table.

No throne.

No privileged seat.

No requirement that everyone agree before they can break bread together.

Just more chairs.

The story draws from an ancient teaching:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲… 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲.

You don't have to share a particular theology to wrestle with the human question underneath those words:

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻?

That question belongs to no single country.

No political party owns it.

No religion has a monopoly on compassion.

No border contains it.

See people.

Feed people.

Care for people.

Welcome people.

Protect human dignity.

Tell stories that powerful systems would rather bury.

Build communities strong enough to hear voices that wealth cannot purchase.

Plant seeds of kindness in places power cannot control.

And wherever you live, when any institution demands that you hate your neighbor, abandon your conscience, or ignore another person's suffering simply to preserve your own place within it—

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲?

Maybe sometimes loving your neighbor means making a little trouble.

Maybe conviction requires more than manners.

Maybe peace requires movement.

And maybe sometimes—

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀.

The Dischordia

𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗜𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗕𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗟.

For a while, we’ve been making music from a fictional universe called 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗔.

Now we’re turning that universe into movies.

𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗠𝗦 are animated science-fiction stories built around the songs — but they aren’t traditional music videos.

Each one is its own little movie.

A traveler catches a train without realizing she has walked into the middle of a war.

An artificial intelligence becomes obsessed with one woman and starts appearing everywhere she looks.

A warrior nun is entrusted with protecting someone an all-seeing machine cannot understand.

A group of ordinary people are called together while civilization begins coming apart.

Language itself becomes a battlefield.

Explorers fly toward things everyone else is desperately running from.

And somewhere behind all of it is a much larger story about surveillance, artificial intelligence, propaganda, faith, identity, free will, power, love, service — and the stubborn parts of humanity that refuse to be optimized away.

Characters disappear from one film and turn up in another. Background details become entire stories. Something that looks meaningless in one movie may become important three movies later.

You don’t need to know any of the lore.

𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆.

If it catches you, follow the thread.

Because the songs were never really separate songs.

They were pieces of the same world.
