Today is a brighter shade of blue for me. Smokestack Lightnin’—shinin’ just like gold✨
Official video out now!
I’ve been spending more time with my electric guitar 🎸 lately. It’s soooo much fun messing with amps, pedals, and all the glorious ways to get a ripping sound.
So you can imagine how much it made my day when my guitar player, Sean Walsh, heard this song and texted me that he loved my solo—the first one you hear on the recording.
I just wrote back that I was trying to be as fierce as he was when he laid down the second solo. 🔥
This one’s for the tiny thick thighs, the lovers of the blues, and all you electric guitar freaks. 💛🎸
Go turn it up! What do you do when you’ve got the blues? You play it!
I’ve long wanted to release an official cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine” and was thrilled to do on the deluxe edition of the new album. May the message of this song echo for generations. ❤️@johnlennon
Happy belated Birthday to the Queen Carla Thomas! What a year for us! We're nominated for a Grammy together and the Americana Music Association honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Inspiration. She's my fairy magical godmother and inspires me everyday❤️
As a born and raised Tennessee Girl, being invited to sing at the @Opry for the very first time is bigger than a dream come true! Y’all know, I danced my way through those pearly Nashville gates straight to the Opry’s Historic Circle!
When I hear songs, they often come in layered choral voices. That’s when I know I’m writing a song. I rarely sit down to write. They usually just find me when I’m living my truth of being a magical fairy woman. 😆 ‘You and I’ just felt so right with this waterfall dance!
